I've been going to two different Broadway for years because the food was good and good value. Unfortunately, they have been raising their prices every few months to the point where they are now more expensive than the big chain restaurants (Montana's and such). I love their garlic cheese bread with bacon (not on the menu). I buy it every week but since Covid, the price has gone up from $11 to $14 and then $16 as of last week. That's a 50% price increase. But wait, today the price is now $19.50!!! Look at my receipt, they charged me $8.25 for bacon. Last week, they charged $3 for the same. I was sure the waiter had made an error but he insisted that the price is set in the system. Want to know what's even more bizarre? The chicken tacos were on sale for $5.55 each and they also come with a slice of bacon. My main meal was cheaper than the appetizer! This place used to be packed but now, their breakfast is the only thing keeping them afloat and no need to wonder why, they are gouging customers. Broadway has changed and it's not for the best.

Update 21/02/2024 - I was contacted by the owner, Bryan, who agreed I was over-charged by $4.25 (+HST + 15% tip). In his response below, he had claimed I had been under-charged on some items. That turned out to be a public stunt as he argued on the breakdown of the pricing but the end-result was still an over-charge. He never offered to reimburse me. Never addressed the higher prices at his location compared to other Broadways. In fact, he was more pre-occupied in identifying me. Kept asking if I was part of a specific group that frequents his location weekly. Once he found out who I was, he sent me an email to say that he would no longer be able to accommodate our group passed 10pm due to a "staff shortage". That's the thank you we get for being loyal customers for 15+ years. I offered to edit or remove my review if I was mistaken or things were corrected but instead I got an owner who was more obsessed at retribution for getting a bad review. Too bad an owner let his ego get in the way but there are plenty of alternatives in the area so in the end, his attitude is only going to cost him.

Update 23/02/2024 - Unfortunately the owner is in damage control mode and spewing out false information about his prices and hours. I've attached another recent receipt that shows the price of the item in question came up to $15.25 ($12.50 + $2.75 for the bacon add-on). That price had already been increased from $14 a few weeks earlier. While it's not on the menu, it is offered at all Broadway locations for 25% less. The owner's defense is that HIS prices match HIS menu prices. He refuses to explain why his location charges more for the same items available at other Broadway locations. I guess he feels Orleans residents have more money to spend frivolously?

As for the staff shortest issue, that's just an excuse. I won't get into it but some of his staff are looking for more hours. Our group has shrunk since Covid but that's because less people are willing to go out when restaurants are gouging customers. We've heard the spiel before... blame the suppliers and wage hikes yet some businesses manage to minimize these increases but others see an opportunity to "update" their prices? The apology was a "sorry about that" and while the owner claims he was "prepared to do something", he had almost 2 weeks to do so but it never came. As for the email the owner brought up about us preferring his restaurant, that is actually from 2022 and not last year. It was just as businesses were starting to get back to normal after the pandemic. We tried a couple of bars at the time but preferred our old Broadway. Unfortunately, the old Broadway has changed for the worse and the competition has gotten better. We're happy to say that we found a new establishment that meets our...

The only reason that I did not give one star is because our server JD was excellent. He was always smiling and took care of us.

Our hostess on the other hand, it was obvious that she did not want to be there. We arrived and told her we are six people and she proceeded to move some tables around in order to make a table big enough for us. In doing so, some of the pegs of the table fell off, and some of the stabilizers also fell off, and she did not bother to fix them, resulting in two very wobbly tables. After we fixed our tables by ourselves by crawling on the dirty floor, we very politely asked her if she could wipe down the tables which were very dirty, as we had a baby and two very young kids. She went back inside grabbed a cloth and a spray and proceeded to do a quick single one motion wipe on only one of the two tables, without even moving the objects on the table. Zero effort basically not even covering 5% of the surface area of the tables. If the job of the hostess is to make the guests feel welcome when they arrive and then she utterly failed. I know that sometimes we have a bad day, and I sympathize, but we should stay professional at all times.

The cleanliness of the restaurant was below average. The menus that they gave us had food stains on them. We asked for Nutella for our pancakes and found a hair inside the Nutella sauce. Our pancakes were undercooked. In general our food was just okay. We will not be coming back, even the the...

Unprofessional staff and served burnt food.

Came for brunch with family on March 2nd and was served by Reagan T. according to the receipt. I had ordered a 2 egg with a side order of hollandaise sauce and sausage.

The server had assumed I was mistaken and wrote my order as a 2 egg and meat with sausage option without asking to clarify. Once the food came to our table I had asked about the missing sausage since I had ordered the side which comes with 4, not 3. The server tried to argue back and forth with me that I had ordered something else when other people at the table had understood that I asked for a side order explicitly.

I wouldn't have minded since she had brought me one more after, but while I was eating my partner and myself could hear the server very loudly complaining to her coworkers about my order. She was saying I didn't know how to order it properly and was complaining about having to redo the entry. My partner also received burnt homefries with a different kind of egg than what was ordered.

I won't be returning and will be urging my family to go to another location next time, if not another...

Everytime I go to Broadway its for breakfast — and those are amazing. But last time I went for diner, I was really disappointed. For 13$ the Fetucinie and Alfredo was very small. We only got a spoonful and a half of pasta. When we asked the waitress why it was so small, she said it was smaller because the pasta didn't have chicken, even though it clearly states that the chicken is an add-on meaning the pasta should be normal size. For my Fajitas, they put the lid upside down on my already cold tortillas, but the rest was okay. It did take a long time for us to actually get our orders, but none the less the staff was somewhat friendly, and there was some good live music. I'll only come back here for breakfast from now on.

This location is really convenient for me and have been many times. Bar type environment and has some TVs to keep you entertained. Expect to wait for breakfast on weekends, they get really busy. The breakfast potatoes are always on point. For dinners and drinks, They do have great specials, be sure to ask because not all servers tell you. My favorites are the Margaritas , the Bellini and the Chicken Greek Plate :) Took off one star because the Hostesses have often been a little rude/uninterested and food can take a little long to get served when they're very busy although usually worth the wait. Overall recommend !
