For generations we have been loyal customers of Colonade Pizza. When we moved to Barrhaven. We were so happy to have a franchise near by. Until today! Today, I spent an extra $6 to buy a Gluten free pizza. Which I don’t mind paying for a quality product. However, when I opened the box I realized that the entire outside rim of my pizza was burnt. So, I figure... not a problem things happen. I will just call them and get it replaced. Boy was I wrong! They want me to drive back and bring the pizza tonight and then they will give me, “ A Free pizza”? Seriously!! I just bought and picked up the pizza because I am on my way out and the kids are with a sitter. Unbelievable, can’t say I am a fan of their new owners customer service. Treated like I was somehow trying to rip them off after spending $69 on two pizzas. Oh and for the record....Replacing the pizza that I already paid for...is Not giving me, “A Free Pizza”. I even offered to send them pictures and they insisted I come back tonight, if I want them to replace it. Which defeats the whole purpose of buying and picking up on my way home from work. Now, with the time it takes to go back and pick up. I will have a hangry child and be late to my event. Needless to say....Bad pizza and terrible customer service equals. Me buying from any one of a number of pizza shops with much better service and quality control. I gave them a chance to rectify the issue. Pictures will be sent, pizza thrown out and I will buy elsewhere in the future. The whole point of fast food is for it to be quick not a two...
Read moreWe went to Colonnade Pizza for my neices birthday. This was my second and last time going there. I was already a little unsure because of the undercooked pizza I got last time. This time I got a gluten free hawaiian pizza for $28. This pizza was not even worth $10. They charge you for medium but you get a size inbetween small and medium. Roughly $8-$10 extra for gluten free. The gluten free crust was awful. I actually hurt my teeth trying to bite the outer crust. I also couldnt cut it. There was a black hair on my pizza. We get the bills and my brother had to go so he left $70 (50+20) and he leaves. The server asks us if he paid. She said she wasn't sure if he did or not and she wasnt very concerned. We call my brother and he returns. He said yes theres $70 on the table, but its gone. She shows us her money and doesnt have a $50. He had to go so he gave us another $70 and left. They took over 30 minutes to check the cameras without any updates. Then the server and manager tell us that they couldnt see any money because we were standing. The server has no place working in customer service. She was cold and couldnt keep track of the money. I would say to anyone planning on going here, make sure you get a receipt if paying cash. We gave her the additional...
Read moreWe were craving some pizza and this place was walking distance from where we were staying. Came in, were immediately greeted and told to sit anywhere. There were a couple other parties already seated, but there was plenty of space for the 3 of use. The decor is minimal, but the way the displayed their pizza pan sizes was really cool since it looks like flowers on a vine. The server was really friendly and took care of us right away, she explained the beer special and then came back with our waters and drinks. We ordered the colonnade special, as it is not often you see broccoli on pizza and it is their signature pizza. She came out with a table top stand for the pizza which was nice. The pizza came out and she served each of us a slice. This Ottawa style pizza is quite hearty. My wife generally hates having cheese on top of the toppings, but this pizza was really well made. The toppings were heavily laid on and so this is a very filling pizza. I was pleasantly surprised that even picking it up the crust held its own under the weight of the toppings. I definitely can see why these are more often eaten with a fork and knife. Overall it was a very pleasant experience, the pizza is good, and the...
