The worst experience I had with Indian Restaurant. Dana’s Indian Cuisine. The server was so unprofessional and didn’t knew anything in the menu. I ordered papadum and it was cold. Asked to replace it. Got an answer that we server it on room temperature. No dinner plates and spoons were given. Worst thing which happened to me was with the so called MANAGER. After we finished our food we waited for 25 mins to get our cheque and then I called the Manager, he said to come at the cash counter to pay and then I told him ‘Food was good but the service was the worst’. He took the payment and said ‘I don’t care about the service. You guys are giving kitchen a hard time. You returned our papadums back and now you are saying service is bad’. I replied ‘I will put your rudeness and customer service on social media’ he replied ‘ Are you threatening me, I don’t care get lost.’ I replied ‘What a rubbish guy’ and the he started abusing me. I just walked away.
So asking for a hot food was my mistake? There was no table to be severed still we had tons of issues. Was I wrong? I am from Toronto and was on a road trip with my friends. 18th March 2018 around 10:00 pm this happened.
The people those who don’t respect the customers should be out of business. Worst service and words I faced for the...
Read moreOrdered through skip the dishes so review is on the food alone. Dishes had good flavor, beef masala and chole bhature were maybe a bit oily. Our combo platter included 1 samosa, 6 small pieces of chicken breast tikka style, 1 silk kebab, 2 pakora and 4 onion bhaji. There were no tandoori shrimp, the menu needs updating.
1 order of naan included 2 pieces the size of a dinner plate, not sliced up but well wrapped in foil. Wrapped up they stayed warm a long time so the packaging was well done. Meat dishes the balance of meat to sauce was better than many restaurants, especially if you're ok with the occasional fatty piece. The butter chicken did not disappoint as a house special and contained mostly breast that was joyfully not overcooked.
Chole bhature was probably the closest I've come to a punjabi chana masala since moving to Ottawa and it was welcome. The oiliness came from added pickle which helped round out an otherwise lean dish. No fried bread is included with chole bhature but you can get bread on the side. The naan is chewy and tandoori baked with blonde and charred parts. I can't recommend the fried things for delivery since obviously they get soggy but the flavor was still there even after an unforgiving travel. Decent value and no...
Read moreI dined here last week.
I ordered the Butter Chicken Poutine, the Beef Samosa, and the Garlic Naan bread.
Overall I enjoyed the food.
The Poutine was flavourful with a decent amount of cheese and chicken, and a lot of sauce. I would say the fries could have been of better quality, which would have made this dish amazing.
Beef Samosas were delishish. They were huge, but could have been loaded with a bit more beef. Otherwise I very much enjoyed it. The sauce that came with it was great as well.
The Naan bread was delish, but I felt maybe a bit over priced at $3.99. But I would probably order it again.
I ordered delivery pick up. The service was mediocre. The server wasnt overly cheerful and spent her whole time in the back helping to prepare the food. Could have been more friendly.
Overall I would order food here again. I enjoyed the food, and loved the website. The website was very painless and will be the number one reason I...
