Domino's Pizza — Restaurant in Ottawa

Location: 1800 Bank St Unit 11 ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE!!!! I can understand a once in a blue moon delay, one unintentional mistake, one unanswered call or one occasion where the staff on the other end of the telephone line answers with an impatient/insensitive manner even though the fault lies on their end, BUT ALL OF THESE IN ONE NIGHT… NO THANKS. I can take my recurring business and money elsewhere!

I placed my order at 7:21pm for 3 LG pizzas and one free medium pizza (after redeeming 60 reward points). Confirmation email and online tracker showed delivery time between 42-52 minutes. I was tracking the order and at 8:08pm I realized the order was stuck at "prep". At first, I tried calling the store to find out if it's just a glitch but there was no answer. At 8:21pm the tracker finally changed to “bake” and the delivery time changed to 52-62minutes. At this point we were ALREADY AT 60 MINUTES since the order was placed and my kids were famished. And then at 70 minutes the delivery status changed to 62-72 minutes.

My first unanswered call was at 8:08pm, my seventh call was finally answered at 8:43pm. I told the gentleman on the phone that I placed an order at 7:21pm and we still hadn’t received our pizzas, also mentioned how many times I tried calling. He said he was “sorry but things are crazy here. We couldn’t answer the phones and we closed our online orders. You can cancel your order.” WOW!!!

I said that’s exactly why I’m calling, go ahead and cancel the order. He claimed the driver was already on his way and to just “send him back”. Couldn’t he just call the poor guy and let him know the order was cancelled? At 8:54pm the delivery arrived. My husband let the driver know that we cancelled the order due to the delays. He also mentioned we have a redeemed points pizza, and if it was ok to leave it. The driver said he would call the store and ask. He called us from his car to let us know the owner told him to go back to the store with all the pizzas. My husband thanked him for the update and let him know to pass along the message that head office would hear about our experience this evening.

As an entrepreneur with many businesses, I just want to say “what an EPIC FAIL!” How can a business owner miss an opportunity to fix all his mistakes with a simple fix? We only asked for what we paid for with our earned points. Instead of reinstating your customer’s trust in you, you added the bitter cherry on top!...

I had previously given this location 5 stars from something previous, but after April 4th, it's now a 1 star.

I ended up having a horrible experience w/1 of your delivery drivers at this location PLUS I never even got my food.

This driver was so bad that he couldn't even find my apartment! I've never had any of your drivers have this issue before. Then after I called the store to speak to a manager and simply cancelled my order all together cause by then i'd waited more than 45 mins, he starts texting me.

(I have the entire conversation still). He was calling me a liar, saying I gave the wrong address (when he was the one at the wrong address.. I even called HIM when i was in the lobby and he wasn't even there!) to him threatening to call the cops on me.

I ended up calling your store once again to speak to a manager who apologised profusely, but i was also told that the store manager would contact me Saturday regarding my issue.. but never did. It is now Monday evening and I have still yet to hear anything.

Not only will i not be ordering anything from this particular location for awhile, but i'm afraid of what other looney tunes you have delivering food to your customers! He threatened to call the police for crying out loud!

Your drivers aren't even supposed to be texting customers... let alone threatening them and...

I had a truly frustrating experience with Domino's Pizza recently. I placed an online order for a vegetable pizza, only two toppings, clearly specifying my dietary preference of not eating meat. To my dismay, when I received my order and opened the box, it contained big pieces of chicken instead of the vegetables I had requested. I’m not sure how you could mess up this request.

This glaring mistake was bad enough, but what made it even worse was the fact that I live quite far from the store. I had to make the inconvenient trip back to the Domino's location to address this error since they couldn't even offer a delivery service to rectify their mistake.

What baffled me the most was the manager, Brijesh's, inability to read and comprehend the simplest of orders. This level of incompetence is unacceptable, especially when it comes to customer satisfaction. It's disappointing that such a basic request couldn't be fulfilled correctly.

This experience left a bitter taste in my mouth, and I hope this review serves as a warning to others who expect their orders to be taken seriously and prepared correctly. I won't be ordering from this Domino's again until I see a significant improvement in their service and attention to customer requests. One star is too generous for...
