Updating my previous 5 stars review from last year:
« The store maybe smaller than the rideau branch but the food is as good if not slightly better and most importantly the new decoration reflect cleanliness and an environment the other store lacks because it’s very old! » 2021
I wrote the comprison because we were mostly customers at the other branch for a very long time until, we found this freshly decorated branch with new furniture and modern ambiance.
The reason I am updating is because although we usually had fair service this time the service was unusually terrible:
1- The setting: Friday afternoon, we were the only customers in store and a couple of delivery orders may be three tops.
2- the cashier/ server wad in a bad mood.
3- we were six people and a baby and she seated us/ stuffed us on a 4 people table.
4- she gave us a broken high chair for our very active baby and when we asked if there is anoyher highchair she just responded that the other one was very dirty (no need to clean it of course, let the baby sit on the broken one!)
5- we waited almost an hour for our meals although there weren’t much happening, ‘no customers’
6- we asked not to put a side item on one plate, but she completely ignored our request as if she didn’t hear it and later on when we asked, she said that we didn’t ask for the modification, she didn’t apologize, take ownership or act as the least customer oriented instead she decided to replace it with an item we didn’t want.
7- only at the end of the meal when a guy from kitchen came by to give us the replacement she chose instead of the replacement we said we’d rather have that he said this seating arrangement is wrong and added a table for us to seat normally but of course we were all done eating and getting ready to leave.
8- one of the reasons we came here is that the meals came with fresh warm naan, this time we were served brown dry a week old brown naan and when we politely asked if there was white naan as usual, she answered, this is all we have for you today, as if we are at a soup kitchen and she is offering us a free meal so we don’t sleep hungry! Not that we were paying short of $ 2,00.00!
9- the large korma plate was not only tiny it was made with dry chicken and some werd sauce instead of the meat and the other usual tasty ingredients they always offered in this usually deletions plate - another waste.
These are my two cents and the reason the review dropped from 5 stars to...
Read moreThe Food is great but they expects us to eat hummus with a spoon now. I don't know why they've changed so much when it comes to their naan bread which is probably the best thing they have for most people. In order to differentiate yourself with other competitors you need to give your best item a bigger spotlight. Give the people what they want. If you want to exceed the success level right now you need to make better combinations with the substitution of rice, naan, and salad. Another point I want to give which is the trend of dieting off carbs right now. People are ordering more and more salads and less and less of carbs (naan, rice). So when I ordered a plate and asked to substitute rice for salad I was given some resistance and then when granted I got a very small portion to the size of rice. More and more people will start feeling very limited to their desired selection, and choice of sides. Please do not be stubborn like a lot of Middle Eastern restaurants in not putting customer’s interests first. This is the country we live and customers comes first because there is a lot of selection now in the west. I eat mostly from restaurants and instead of eating at Ariana 2-3 times a week I now eat about 1-3 times a month. That’s my 2 cents I hope things change around your frugal naan and side substitution problems.

Read moreThis place is a perfect place if your looking for good food and good test, But not a good place when it comes to respecting their waitresses. I have been to this restaurant 3 times and each single time I end it up feeling sad, and sorry for those girls who are working in such a terrible environment. In my first visit I ordered 4 chicken platters and I was very exited since I heard a lot about this place from my friends who used to go for dinner every once a week. But what I saw was heart breaking and very sad. I saw and heard the waitress saying "4 chicken plates for tack out please" but the chief made 4 Brest Tandoori plates and when the waitress said "this is wrong" they short guy who was on girl yelled at her and kept saying "you said 4 Brest Tandoori, and some pretty other bad words which was absolutely insulting and unprofessional. Oh my god the last 2 times I went for dinner with my friends was not a good place to eat at all. the chef was changed. it was a chubby guy who was yelling on the poor waitress like he owes her. I ended up packing up my food and leaving such a environment. Will they lost 9 good customers and I hope they pay for what they are doing to those poor girls. VERY VERY VERY BAD EMPLOYERS. VERY DISRESPECTFUL PEOPLE...
