Excellent! I got an iced coffee (Happy Goat brand) that was average price (and less expensive than some places) but it was larger than most places and made with beans that were ground on the spot! I didn’t get a chance to try any of the food but it all looked delicious. šŸ˜‹ Lots of options for vegetarian, vegan, gluten free, as well as meat and wheat options. Great to see the eco-friendly items too (paper straws, spoons for stirring, actual glasses). Would love it if they added free wifi for solo trips here.

Super cute and rustic looking cafe with more beautiful fresh baked goods than you could hope for (without overdoing it) and good drip coffee. The peanut butter balls looked huge at first, but have a surprising light crunchy interior that makes them taste much more pleasant and light than what you would expect from just a solid peanut butter ball. I kinda love it. I'll definitely be back. Love this place.

Can't keep paying $5 for half a coffee. The staff seem lovely and the loyalty cards are appreciated, but the food is just okay and they only ever fill your cup half way (photo below - haven't even taken a sip yet). With Little Victories (objectively better coffee) just up the street, these guys need to step it up. Total bill: $9.05. Now I am a sad goat 🐐😄

After searching for specialty coffee on Google I found the happy goat to be the closest shop open while visiting Ottawa on Victoria Day. When I saw ā€œroasted onā€ date on their coffee bags as opposed to ā€œbest beforeā€, I figured I could trust the place, but boy was I wrong. I ordered a 5$ cappuccino and because I like the taste of coffee and find lattes too diluted. The ā€œbaristaā€ burnt the milk, produced no foam and served me a latte in a smaller cup. Cappuccinos, as opposed to lattes, are 1/3 espresso, milk and foam, respectively. Took a sip on the way out and felt like I was drinking the milk I give my kid before naptime. When I asked her if she’d put a double shot, the barista said yes, when I told her there was way too much milk, she said ā€œwell that’s how we always do themā€. I then asked to replace the drink with a double espresso so I can actually taste the coffee, she just rang it up as if nothing happened.

What’s the point of being a specialty shop if baristas don’t weigh their coffee and pull thin shots or don’t know how to make drinks? And then not want to replace said drink for free? Not a fan of Starbucks and always love discovering new roasters when I travel, but when Starbucks burns milk, they always replace the...

I ordered a simple drip coffee and then stood there like an idiot for nearly 10 mins. The staff just walked away and forgot about it on the back watching me look at them and not even asking if i was needing something. I thought maybe they needed to brew a new pot in the back or something, but nah i was just forgotten immediately after ordering. The cashier looked at the receipt and i get the feeling she didnt like that i didnt tip. Im on mat leave and it was a 2.99 beverage: :/ for me not everything needs a tip. Feels like I instantly got ignored because of it. Iv worked in tip situations and its not mandatory. Maybe I'm reading into it but they all just ignored me until I asked how long a drip coffee takes it make. Not even a sorry, just ā€œoh do you need anything in itā€. It was super weird...

Went during the week in the late morning. Everything is so close together it was hard to sit with my baby. I don’t expect everywhere to have a high chair so I put her on my lap which is fine. The bathroom was big but had no baby change table or counter space so I had to change my baby on the gross floors. Good thing I was prepared and had blankets and change pad. The coffee was ok, I had a pain ol Americano. It was average. I also had a muffin that sounded good and it had lots of grain and fruits in it. Disappointingly It was over...
