Love this café!! The staff is absolutely friendly, the design is simple but elegant, their coffee is delicious and their doughnuts are to die for.
The staff: I have come here twice this past month, and both times the staff were very friendly. They would answer my questions about the drinks they offered, and were very helpful all around. They delivered my doughnuts and coffee straight to my table. I don't know if that's regular practice but it was really appreciated. Last time I went, I spilled my drink accidentally and the guy got me napkins without asking.
The drinks & food: The coffee is amazing! I've gotten their Americano, and their latte. Both were very good. They add a beautiful design on their coffee for beautiful pictures, which I love, and it tastes just as delicious as it looks! Their doughnuts come from Suzy Q, I do not know if they are made in store or delivered to Little Victories, but they taste very fresh. If delivered they must be made every day. They have a wide selection of doughnuts and even offer some vegan ones. I tried the do-nut and the cherry bomb, and both were wonderful. Even though the do-nut was vegan, it tasted amazing!
The store: The store is smaller, but they made most out of their design, with simple but beautiful decorations. They have 4 small tables for couples and one big table for a group of 6. Also on the side they have benches one can sit on too. The music they play is good and not too loud which is good. It is a good place to read or chat.
The price: It is a good price for it's quality. -The donuts if I recall are $3 each, but they are also some of the best doughnuts I have had. The specialty coffees are $4 for a 8-ounce, which I still find reasonable for their quality. On the pricier-side but with reason.
All in all, I absolutely love this café. If you're going with friends, try to get a group of doughnuts, it's...
Read moreI was a regular for a long time at both of their locations, Elgin and Glebe. However, my last two visits to this location (Glebe) has left me very disappointed.
I have been out of Ottawa for a few months, but I always remember the staff here being SO friendly and sweet. However, I guess their staff have changed, because the staff I dealt with the past two times were very unfriendly and unprofessional.
Firstly when I walk in, I’m welcomed by stares and no smiles and then placed my order awkwardly so.
When I proceeded to wait for my coffee at a table, one of the baristas placed the cup of water and coffee without even looking at me, or saying any single thing.. not here you go, not enjoy your coffee, absolutely nothing. That is just so strange and so rude!
The service provided by your employees really makes up half of the business. I have always repeatedly visited here and brought many family and friends for two reasons: the quality of the coffee and the service provided by your employees. When one of those is missing, unfortunately you lose a customer, and in my case you lose many customers because of the amount of friends I’ve brought here.
It really saddened me because your coffee shop had a very special and sentimental spot in my heart and to come for a coffee but get treated like this is really not what anyone looks for when going for a sweet cup of coffee.
For the owner, your coffee is one of the best I had and the cosy vibe of your coffee shop is absolutely fantastic but you need warm and friendly staff to go with your vision.. and not the kind of staff I have dealt with.
I wish you all the best in...

This is a tough review to write. Little Victories is a cute and high quality coffee shop that my husband and I visit almost every day. As we are leaving to head back to our home country, we wanted to have something from Ottawa to bring with us. So we choose to purchase a Little Victories Hoodie, even though it was expensive. Unfortunately the delivery man left it outside our locked building and the CCTV caught that it was stolen 5 mins later. We did choose the free delivery option, but we had wished that either they hadn’t delivered it in an open bag, showing clearly what was inside. Or that they had waited to deliver it, since they couldn’t get into our building. When contacting the shop about it, they offered to sell us another sweater for $40. We chose this option, since we didn’t want to be out a sweater and our money. The owner seemed kind and apologetic and also offered me a free cup of coffee. But to be honest, I still don’t feel valued as a customer. I really didn’t plan on spending this much for the sweater, but I am glad we’ve come to a compromise. It just felt like the shop wasn’t taking responsibility for their driver making a poor delivery choice. Asking for more money to receive an item we already paid is really...
