The facilities are amazing but the underground parking facility is horrible! I used to come to Lansdowne for the VIP movie theater but stopped going because of the underground parking.
I was driving my vehicle in the underground parking lot of the TD place and was directed by parking staff to turn right. I was one what was designed as a one way but the parking staff was using as a two way traffic.
I ended up hitting a emergency blue call box
This was caused by changing a one way into a two way and the parking staff was not directing traffic and blocking the main way with a barricaded forcing the traffic wrong way down a one way road.
After the incident a parking staff said to me and my wife " I told management not to block off the road like this as it was going to cause accidents"
The manager of the parking lot came and the parking attendant to change the procedure and let people through the barricade realize they were causing accidents by directing traffics the wrong way down a one way.
I ask him "so you change your parking flow because you realized it causes accident" he nodded yes and then I ask him " so its the parking lots fault and he simply did not respond.
When security came the manager left and was no...
Read morean upscale place where locals go for redblacks & ottawa fury (TD stadium) and movies (cinema cineplex lansdowne) and of course Lansdown Park (skate-bmx park, splash pool, basketball), etc. also home of the wholefood market.
if you can find on street parking aroyns marche way, you can use undergeound pay parking. there is free 1 hour parking on the nearby streets. sometimes you need to walk a bit, but it's worth it. some of the free on atreet parking areas are holmwood ave, monk st, fifth ave, clarey ave, fourth ave, tackaberry lane, woodlawn ave, oakland ave, melgund ave, regent at, rupert st, rue o'connor and adelaide st. theyboften cloae their underground parking access for particular game, only allowed those with parking access with game tickets (i find this annoying), but as explained, therw are nearby on street parking locations. personally i prefer adelaide street during games to go to the cinemas.
whole food offers free parking for its customers. cineplex also offers 3 hours of free parking for movie goers. validate your parking at the guy who check your cinema ticket.

Read moreWe love the venue for Redblacks games. The park in back is beautiful as well and although I haven't eaten in a restaurant the patios appear to be awesome because there is no traffic driving by. The farmers market looked great.
We recently went to a movie there and the cinema is stellar.
The parking facility underneath the stadium is the reason I came here to comment. It is not so great ---- very confusing. Signage is not adequate and so it is VERY difficult to find the exit. In addition, the exit and entry points contain very tight turns that are hard to navigate in a large vehicle. The entrance is so narrow that when one is entering, one assumes it to be only ONE way, but in fact it is two way. A yellow line should be painted down the middle to stop incoming cars from coming too close to exiting cars. Luckily there are staff around to help people find their way.
With a few minor improvements to the parking, the place will be second to...
