Donāt come on Wing night, if you want fish and chips (standard pub fare) as they dedicate the fryer for āwings onlyā. As this my first time, a not a wing fan at all , didnāt know of this unpublished rule. Rest of the party enjoyed their Swiss mushroom smash burgers and the house cheese burgers and poutine. I had the veggie samosas (the slathering of chili sauce overpowered the ok samosas) and a Caesar salad. Our waitress appeared overwhelmed and may have been new as she was unable to answer basic questions regarding menu options. Ordered a few drinks, Mojito was good, summer Rose Sangria was missing fruit and didnāt taste remotely like description - when we asked about it, were told that they ran out. Funny enough once the drink was finished, she came back and said bartender found some, do we still want?? One friend was having a birthday, so we ordered the double chocolate brownie - I asked if it was possible to stick a candle in it - she said she would check - A while later waitress returned and said yes and then asked if I had a lighter- must not be the first time they have been asked a bday request. Dessert came, unfortunately was stale and sticky sweet. Pointed it out, however no other option or solution was offered. Service was a complete miss. Was a mixed bag- not consistent with the food (some good, some not) and sadly the service was sorely lacking. Hopefully that was just an off night. May try again, just not...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe Glebe Central Pub is a place that the Ottawa Soccer Community is more than fortunate enough to call home. Blair has welcomed the Capital City Supporters Group, the Voyageurs and Arsenal Ottawa with open arms and allowed us to grow soccer in Ottawa by screening soccer games that elsewhere are harder to find on TV in the Ottawa-Gatineau area. This pub is host to matches such as; The Canadian Women's and Men's National Soccer Team games, Atletico Ottawa away games, Arsenal Soccer games, everything World Cup and many more great events. Not only is this Pub the place to watch broadcast and streamed matches but also the place to experience the pregame and post match Atletico Ottawa gameday atmosphere. The Glebe Central Pub truly is Ottawa's Temple of the World's Game and there truly isn't a better Pub in this city to catch a footy match.
The Glebe Central Pub is not only the home of soccer but a great place for friends to share their time together in a true public house. The Glebe Central Pub hosts great events such as live music, open mic nights, Trivia, RedBlacks pregame, Senators Gameday fun and much more. The Glebe Central Pub patio offers a unique and vibrant outdoor pub experience. The staff are always amazing at the Glebe Central Pub and there is always a great selection of food and drinks. The Glebe Central Pub is a place I strongly...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis place has gone way down hill. I used to love this pub but its not the same anymore. I went here at 8pm on a Friday night. I was served the most bizarre Garden House salad I'd ever seen, with a plastic ramekin squished on top and pickled red peppers. While sitting at the bar, the servers were talking amongst themselves about a customers drink order, about how gross it was. It was a standard cocktail. (my personal opinion here is that if somebody is paying for it, and paying your tip, you shouldn't be making fun of their drink in front of other customers). The bartender was an 18 year old kid with zero bartending experience. She was looking up how to make cocktails on her phone. When the Ottawa hockey game started, they switched all the TV's to Toronto baseball so I left. I won't be back and don't think they'll survive. - Just go to Irene's and save yourself...
