Have been wanting to try the spot for quite some time and when you walk in, it is very dark in there, and the only light was from the main windows being open, which was a bit odd to me, but maybe that’s a part of the ambiance and atmosphere.

The table that we were at was actually very sticky to the point the menu kept sticking to it, so I don’t think it was cleaned properly and water top up had to be asked for instead of it being proactively done. Now I understand there was only one server, but I think there was only about 4 to 5 tables of people as it was a Thursday evening and not super busy. Our server was friendly. I just found she didn’t come by as often and we had to fly her down a few times.

The food was very good though the dip for the chicken karaage was wasabi based so it was spicy. I would recommend asking for a different dipping sauce if possible. There are a lot of choices for the noodles broth and a lot of additional extras. You can add to it. I found the pork belly to be really good and the egg was also really good.

When you are done, you actually get up to go pay at the front which they don’t tell you so make sure you look for the sign at the front counter.

I would definitely recommend checking it out and I would return again just for...

I had been to their ramen shop on Sommerset years ago and the soup was good but not mind blowing. My wife and I were in Westboro and we decided to give this location a shot. Boy was it worth it.

The service was impeccable and we were seated and helped right away. The server (whose name I didn't get) was really nice and attentive and took our orders right away. I got the chicken karage to start and the koichi special tonkotsu ramen while my wife got her normal vegetarian ramen. We expected to be disappointed after our experience in Victoria but we were wrong.

The chicken was crispy and came out hot. The wasabi mayo dipping sauce was wonderful and borderline addictive. However, it was the ramen that was amazing. The depth of flavour and balance of the broth, the chashu pork being so tender to the noodles being absolutely perfect... honestly this soup was incredible. My wife loved hers and said that her broth was perfect.

This shop rivals our local place that, in my opinion, makes the best ramen in Ottawa. As far as I'm concerned, it's now a tie. After this afternoon, if you like ramen and you're in Westboro, you need to go here....

Hi, I’m a regular customer at your Westboro location and usually have a great experience. However, I wanted to share some feedback about an issue I had today.

Back in October, I received two 2-for-1 promo coupons. There’s no expiration date or conditions on them. About two weeks ago, I used the first coupon without any problems—everything went smoothly, and I got the second ramen as promised.

Today, I went back to use my second coupon, but the person taking my order said it couldn’t be used for takeout. I explained that I had used the same kind of coupon before with no issues, but she insisted it wasn’t allowed. I asked her to double-check, and she eventually went to the kitchen staff, who confirmed the coupon was fine to use.

What bothered me was that she didn’t seem interested in checking at first and just said no, even after I explained my previous experience. It felt like the situation could have been handled better.

I’d appreciate it if you could look into this and maybe make sure everyone’s on the same page about the rules for...

We ordered Koichi for takeout and what the great thing about this place is that they separate the broth from the noodles so the noodles don’t absorb all the broth by the time you get home. In addition, we had to wait a bit as we were too early for our take out order to be ready, but the server gave us some water as we waited, which is great service. Spices are actually spicy, so we could even feel the heat at mild spice levels. The wasabi mayo would definitely clear your sinus. Interior is modern and well decorated with wood seating and red cushions to compliment. Chicken karaage tasted hand made and were not too oily. The pork ramen broth was not too oily and the ramen came with two pieces of soft pork belly. Only half a boiled egg per order.

This ramen restaurant really hits all the right spots! As a vegetarian it's hard to find a ramen place that has yummy options for me and for others who aren't vegetarian. My husband is picky with his ramen, and is always pleased with his meals from here! For vegetarians, I've tried them all and prefer the miso (but the curry is a close second!). My husband's favourite is the Signature (it's a classic for a reason!). I also high recommend the tofu appetizer! The staff are also all so nice, even when they are swamped! Kudos to them :)
