Maplelawn is an historic house and former estate located in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. The house was built between 1831 and 1834 as the centre of a farming estate by the Thomson family. In 1877 the Cole family bought the estate and lived there until 1989.

Great little gem within the city! So many variety of flowers. It's a beautiful peacefull place. One of my favorite locations for taking pictures of flowers, bees and butterflies. Sometimes a bunny if your lucky. It is a well taken care of garden! A plus is the very photogenic Keg manor which is located next to the garden. There is on-site parking behind the garden shared...

Should be 5 Stars! BUT!!! They have taken away the walkable/playable/picnicable green spaces that you see in the second photo. Now it's... Overgrown... 'Squeezed in' ... Lots of flowers for sure... But it's lost its 'secret hideaway' feel and is now a very colourful and vast row of bushes. Call the crew in and...

Very quiet enclosed garden on Richmond Road at the beginning of Westboro. A few benches and a couple of picnic tables. Very well maintained. Good place to take seniors to check out the flowers because it is small enough. Quiet place to read a book or meditate. Open from sunrise to sunset. Spring to Fall,...
