Laboba Milk Tea House — Restaurant in Ottawa

I came in close to closing time and was a little worried the store might already be closed — thankfully it wasn't. The staff were incredibly kind and welcoming, and I really appreciated their great customer service.

I ordered a watermelon slush with no sugar, but due to a small miscommunication, it came with 50% sugar. I absolutely adore watermelon slush (it's one of my favourites), but since the fruit is already naturally sweet, I found it a bit too sweet for my taste.

When I mentioned the sweetness, the owner kindly offered to remake the drink. I wasn’t firm about asking for a new one because I didn’t want to be a bother, but they generously made another drink that’s typically less sweet. I really appreciated that gesture and the care they put into making sure I was happy with my order.

To be honest, afterward I felt a little nervous about going back — I didn’t want to seem like a “Karen” or like I had caused trouble. But the owner reassured me in a kind way that even if they remembered me, they’d treat me just like any other customer. That really put me at ease.

Also, for anyone curious: regular size is 500 ml and large is 700 ml — it’s probably posted somewhere, but I thought I’d share in case it helps someone.

I’ll definitely be coming back — especially for the watermelon slush (no sugar next time). Great drinks, even better service.

We visited Laboba today and absolutely loved it! The drinks we tried, the OG Tea, Mango Blendie, and Strawberry Blendie with popping boba were all verrryyy good and super refreshing. The flavors were rich and balanced, and everything tasted really fresh. The Mango Blendie was tropical and smooth, while the Strawberry Blendie with popping boba was sweet, fun, and bursting with flavor in every sip.

The prices felt totally worth it for the quality and portion size, generous cups and plenty of boba! On top of that, the owners were so nice and welcoming. They helped us pick out our drinks and made sure we got exactly what we’d enjoy.

If you’re looking for a cozy spot with delicious bubble tea and friendly service, we definitely recommend Laboba. We’ll be coming...

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ This was my first time at La Boba and I was impressed. The space feels modern, clean, and welcoming, perfect for chilling out with a good drink. I ordered the taro smoothie and it was spot on. A lot of places make it too watery, but this one had that perfect thick, creamy texture, just how a smoothie should be.

I also tried their condensed milk toast and wow… it was soft on the inside, perfectly crisp on the outside, and had just the right amount of sweetness. Total comfort snack.
