Wow! I can't beleive as 1st time customer, how much this old dark black man wearing glasses tried to agrue with me about the order I place which was 1/4 chicken with rice and plantains. Now after readind numerous 1-star review i beleive these customers. They will not work with you to correrct your order they will tell you you are wrong and want to fight with you. This was so exhausting for me. I cant beleive the ignorance i experince todag at this restaurant. The old black man told me you ordered "whole chicken with rice and palantains". Very poor customer service. The guy should have simply corrected the order and hand over the food after I told him about 8x what my order was. He wanted to argue with me and say that I should say combo next time. I stated my ordered many times. The young girl who answered the phone spoke very little english then they older man came on the phone but it's obvious now that this older man is useless and if its his business he definitely needs to improve his customers service. Unfortunately for the poor customer service I decided to leave without any food after waiting 30 mins and driving there. Totally unacceptable to try and pick a fight with a customer who simply told you 8x what the order was. I recommend going to YKO BBQ on McArthur. I never had this problem at YKO and I can guarantee you their bbq chicken and rice is delicious. Avoid coming to...

Edit - so I first wrote this review about a year ago and I LOVE Lazares food.. however, I had an awful experience this past 24 hours. I ordered on Uber Eats like I do so many times and the food had very obviously been cooked way prior, maybe days prior. It tasted "off", however, less than 24 hours later it smelled awful and we could tell it had already gone completely bad and was unedible. Unfortunately, I hadn't known this when I started eating it and I am now very sick with food poisoning.. I'm so sad to change my review but after being an extremely frequent customer, I would expect way better. The donuts were also very stale and not even slightly fresh.

Walked in to do a order. The person’s English was not very well. Very poor customer service. Have a son who’s anaphylactic to bananas and asked if they had a different fryer. Then myself with coeliac disease if they had A different fryer, and what foods were safe to eat. I ended up having the jerk chicken with rice with the plantain and my son just the jerk chicken with the rice. We both ended up with a bad allergic reaction. Never going to order from here again. Went in and told them what happened when I ordered from there and I was literally yelled at And miss treated by the staff.
