Lokma (Kanata) — Restaurant in Ottawa

I bought $70 worth of Lokmas and that wasn’t enough for them to give good service. The Indian woman that was serving me sneezed on her ungloved hand as she was talking to me, then put both her hands together, I thought she would change her glove that was on her other hand and wash her hands but she didn’t, she straight up just went back to putting my lokmas in a box, where she then proceeded to put a very light amount of toppings. I asked her to change her glove and wash her hands then re do it, and she replied with “oh it was just a sneeze.” Acting like it’s completely fine to serve food with snotty hands. When I pressed the issue, she took her glove off, and then just put a glove on the hand she sneezed on (which was ungloved beforehand), without washing her hands at all. I wanted to say something but my friends told me she’d have to replace them again and it would be a waste of food so just let it slide. So I did, we go home to eat the lokmas, and we find 2 different strands of hair in two different boxes. 24 hours later I am very sick. I recently visited Chicken Mafia (Lokma) at the Terry Fox location after driving over 20 km specifically to try one of their wraps, and I was extremely disappointed by the staff’s behavior.

The employees were unprofessional, unhelpful, and showed no interest in providing proper customer service. When I tried to place my order in person, they told me the wrap I wanted wasn’t “in their system” and insisted that I must order through Uber. Even after I offered to pay by card or cash, they refused to serve me. Their attitude was dismissive and made me feel like they simply didn’t care about helping customers.

To make matters worse, I noticed staff handling food with their bare hands and not wearing gloves, which is a serious hygiene concern. Their lack of professionalism and basic courtesy was unacceptable.

For a business in such a busy area, this level of customer service is shocking. Management should seriously address the behavior, attitude, and hygiene practices of the staff at...
