This was a tough one to come up with a rating. My friend and I went on a Monday night. The restaurant was not packed (several empty tables). We were seated quickly and greeted by the waiter with water. Then it went downhill from there. I'm not sure if they were understaffed or what, but it took forever for the waiter to come back to take our orders. Even though he wrote down our orders, he messed up my friend's drink. While our appetizers arrived hot, they took a long time to come and we had to flag down the waiter to request refills on water (which didn't come until we asked a second time). My friend asked for more sauce for her cauliflower bites and was brought a bottle of hot sauce (not the same sauce they were dressed in). No one ever checked in to see if everything was okay.
Then we waited, and waited, and waited. It was at least 45 minutes from when we finished our appetizers until our meals arrived. We believe it was brought out by the manager (not our waiter). The food arrived hot and was tasty, but again no one came to check in on us. I stopped a random waiter carrying a water jug just to get a refill.
We were going to order dessert, but given how long everything took (and the fact no one came around) we decided that it was late enough and we flagged down the waiter to request our bills.
The food was good and served hot. When the waiter was at our table, he was engaging and attentive. But the incredibly slow service and infrequent access to our waiter made the experience one we do not want to repeat. Especially given...
Read moreApril 15, 2023 a party of 9 people went to your restaurant. We had a reservation so they knew we were coming. When we first got seated our server came to introduce herself and as we were waiting for one person to arrive we decided to have a drink but our server was no where to be seen. We were a party of 9 and we all ordered from different parts of your menu. When I asked everyone how their food was I received different replies. The Chicken Parm was served without any sauce and they had to ask for some; a couple of people ordered the Grilled Salmon (me included) and it was terrible. It was very, very dry. another had Scallops and Shrimp Scampi. Well he had a very hard time finding the scallops (his comment was they were the real baby, baby scallops and the shrimp were very, very few and some of the ingredients were missing. One person ordered the Caesar salad and ordered steak as a side and the salad was served without the steak and had to ask the server. I could really go on and on but I will stop now. As this was a Special occasion as we were celebrating a family member's 60 birthday we (the parents) were paying for everyone so you know it was not a cheap night. Way too much for the quality of food and service we received. We have been to Milestones just my husband and I, many times and we have always been satisfied with the food and service but not last night. Management reached out to me with an apology and a desire to understand my dining experience better so they can ensure other customers will not experience what I did. I do believe this company aspires to provide excellent customer experience and I appreciate their efforts to make amends for a sub par experience -thankyou.
Original review. Ottawa Milestones near castlefrank drive. Bad food, bad service. Ordered the thai chicken bowl and was really looking forward to the sautteed vegetables which is a key component. What i received was an unappetizing stack of chicken chunks looking like chicken mcnuggets stacked on a pile of rice. Not a single vegetable in sight. I brought this to our waiters attention and he literally used his fnger snd pointed to the several slivers of a shaved carrot and the garnish of cilantro, straightout rejecting my concern. After again statiing my concern he ended the conversation by saying he was sorry and that he would "tell the chef" and walked away.
