Palermo's Pizzeria — Restaurant in Ottawa

This is a REALLY Good freaking pizza!!! I have more than a decade of managing an Italian Pizzaria, a couple of years managing some chain pizza places. Ive tried a LOT, of pizzas. THIS Place takes top 3 in my books.

a little more expensive than many of the chain places.. BUT you get a full sized large pizza, not 12 inch.The pizza was heavy they dont skimp on toppings the sauce was good and not overbearing, the crust was crispy and perfectly cooked and delicious, will DEFINETLY be back.

It arrived super hot, service to hotel. and delivery Guy was great.

I just want to say I came back lol I ordered again from here and the pizza is still amazing.!!!!

I'm not here to give any negative reviews but I need you to understand the situatiin.

I made an order earlier to have it delivered AT 745 pm, they made it a little bit too early, they got there at 7 PM but I wasn't at the hotel yet... Not Done work..

But when they called me and I spoke to them they realized their mistake and they made me a whole new pizza from scratch and send it to my hotel room hot and fresh at the proper time.!!!!

I want to give them a lot of respect for this, Because I've had this happen a few times in the past, and THOSE Pizza places That it happened at, what they did was throw my old cold pizza in the oven to try and heat it backup and send it to me at the proper time only when I got it it was Luke warm and nearly burnt.

Palermo's didn't shortcut it they just made a new pizza and sent it,!!!!

I have a lot of respect for these guys and wish them well with their business and that is just d* good ethics and really great customer service. thanks jeff c.

So I’ve been ordering from here for years now, been loyal to them when my boyfriend tries to convince me to call pizza pizza instead. On two recent occasions they sent the wrong pizza. on the first occasion they said they’d send back a new, CORRECT pizza. They didn’t send it and after a while I called them to ask how long and they claimed someone else came in and took it, and they just gave it away accidentally. Makes no sense, since the order was for delivery, so of course I didn’t decide to just come pick it up the second time. They still didn’t resend my pizza that time and left me with the wrong pizza. Zero compensation. The second time they did the same thing but I was firm about them resending the correct pizza this time. (The mistake was they sent pepperoni instead of pineapple.) They can’t seem to get their orders together. Now last night, August 12, I ordered a pineapple pizza and after 45 min I called to ask why it was taking time, and they said that they had an issue so all deliveries were paused. I could have ordered from DoorDash and they would have gotten my order to me. Instead, the store didn’t offer me anything for the delay, and it still took another almost 30 min to receive my order, which when it came it was BURNT! I didn’t receive any discount for the inconvenient amount of time it took, no apology, etc. I waited so long to pay full price for a burnt pizza. Whoever is managing this place is doing a horrible job and needs to be changed out for someone who is more respectful because I won’t be ordering again, I feel the trust is broken and I don’t feel valued...

Aug 1 2025- Adding onto my review from a year ago as I love supporting my local businesses. The pizza just seems to get better and better. The sauce is so flavorful and they put a perfect amount on. We always ask for extra sauce when going to other pizza places but have never had to request more at Palermo's. We did a pick up order today and the shop is so clean. You can tell the owner takes pride in his business.

Palermo's used to be my go to for pizza. I had stopped ordering for awhile (no fault of the restaurant I got bored of pizza) I had forgotten how amazing the pizza was so I kept ordering from other places and I had always been a little disappointed. We decided to order Palermo's again tonight for the first time in years and I'm sorry I ever stopped it is the best pizza in the area(if not the best pizza in Ottawa). The pizza is cooked well (I hate when a pizza is "doughy". The cheese has a beautiful color to it from the oven and a perfect amount of toppings. We got black olives on one of the pizzas and they were so good. I had been craving a pizza with black olives for months and every time I ordered from other pizza places the olives were disgusting, soggy or dehydrated little black specs on the pizza. They add the olives at the end of cooking (I'm assuming they didn't look over cooked) and they were very good quality. We order pizza about once a month and will be using Palermo's as our go to pizza place. Will be recommending to all our...
