Last night I arrived at 10:30pm and was planning to get a table while waiting for my friend. I waited 15 minutes to be seated before walking out. I made eye contact and smiled with one of the servers multiple times as she walked around in attempt to grab her attention. When making eye contact one time she was checking-in on one of the tables near the front and I thought she would approach me when given a moment, but she just walked away and didn’t come back.
Though I was alone I feel it was clear that I was waiting to be seated, if I were waiting for someone to leave I would be standing in between the two glass doors or outside. I am not one to approach a server or verbally say something, but it was much quieter than usual so I was left puzzled as I was being ignored. I only waited so long to be acknowledged because my friend hadn’t arrived yet, but when they texted me that they had just parked I went out the door and we went somewhere down the street to Corner Bar and Grill instead.
I have given this location a try at least 4 times in the past couple of months as it is around the corner from my new place. There was one occasion where a server gave us great service on the patio (I forget her name but had left a compliment on the website at that time) but unfortunately it didn’t make up for last night and a couple of other occasions in which service...
Read moreWe rarely go out since covid but decided we would go for out for dinner at St-Louis Bar & Grill. They checked our certificates like they were suppose to, but I was surprised to see every seat at the bar taken, no social distancing and the barmaid wearing her mask under her chin. She was ok wearing her tuque the entire evening but not her mask. She would pull it up to under her nose when going to tables around the bar but didn't even bother covering her nose. The scene around the bar looked like a breakthrough waiting to happen! I was surprise but relieved that our server at least had her mask on.The fact that the covid rules were not at all followed around the bar and that the barmaid would not wear her mask while serving her customers leaves a bitter taste in our mouth and the impression that St-Louis Bar and Grill don't care about their patron's health! I hope they get...
Read moreSpoke with Manager Rob regarding my inability to drink draught beer. Ultra Micheloeb is a fine bottled beer I enjoy. He agreed he would speak to his boss. For 1.5 months I kept asking on the status. Finally last week he said that his Manager would not bring in a case to test its popularity. I informed Rob I would not be returning and his response was "that's fine". WOW well considering they don't sell Blue Light bottle my choices are Coors Light which gives me a headache and Bud Light. I will spend my money in a place that values my patronage and money. So yes Rob "that's fine" for sure. There are so many places in Orleans that will offer me my choice. So with your bad attitude and the already flailing bars due to COVID-19, you are going to need much more than good luck to compensate for your poor...
