The date is December 2nd 2018, I begrudgingly had Subway for lunch because my wife and I were starving and had not eaten anything all day. Our trip to Subway was average, there was nobody in front of us and the young lady made both of our sandwiches at the same time. I noted that she did not remove her gloves when handling kitchen doors and she went to the back to retrieve more ingredients using her gloves which she was preparing the sandwiches with. We had our subs and they were all right. Later that evening we went to see the new Grinch movie in theaters, I would give that movie four stars out of five it was quite enjoyable, however, this review is about the Subway on Stittsville Main. But you had the Subway sandwiches four hours ago? you ask. well during the end of the movie both my stomach and my wife's were grumbling and gurgling and we both realized that we needed to get to the washroom ASAP. Speeding home we arrived and we both had to use the toilet, being the gentleman I am I let my wife go first. She proceeded to do her thing and then a couple minutes later it was my turn. The toilet however was not flushing properly, I cannot fault Subway for this. After some very careful plunging of the toilet it was not ready for myself and out from my rear orifice blasted warm frothy diarrhea. I can only blame both of our illnesses on the subway lunch we had mere hours before. This is not a one-off event, we have experienced diarrhea previously from this Subway location. We are likely to return though, because it is a convenient location and sometimes you just don't have the time to make a meal yourself. So one out of five stars...
Read moreHad the most bizarre experience at this location. We came around 7:30pm on a weekday evening which we understood quite possibly there would be no soup left. We saw the sign that said potatoe my husband’s favourite so he took a shot and asked if they had any ( still don’t understand why 90% of Subways keep soup signs up even when they run out). The girl and guy behind the counter said they weren’t sure and the guy looked in and said it looked liked they were out, not even enough for a small. As the girl was making our subs we noticed the guy was attempting to put what was left of the soup in a container. My first though was “ what a great employee! Super persistent, looks like he is trying to give us the last of what’s left”. Nope, he filled the container to what he could and shockingly picked up his own sub in a bag and walked away with the soup and sub into the back. Another girl passed him as he made his way into the back and quietly said to the girl making our subs, “ is he taking that?” “ he can’t do that”? The girl who passed him went back to find him presumably tell him that he can’t just take soup to eat. So bizarre, my review is 4 stars based on the fact that the two girls showed ethics and one gave him feedback in the moment however it would have been 1 if we hadn’t witnessed the other employees’ reaction to this guy’s moment of entitlement and poor...
Read moreI order often using Uber eats from this subway (I’m 15+ orders now), I’ve tried other subways and wanted to give up, dry bread, bad veggies, almost nothing on the sub etc, this location however, I can’t even explain it just absolutely has made every sub I’ve ordered absolutely perfect, the veggies and bread have been fresh every time, everything tastes fresh and everything tastes good, they always follow my “other notes”. If it wasn’t for this subway, I’d only be ordering from fire house sub but I like mixing it up. These guys actually deserve an extra star imo, best subway I’ve ever had, period ;) kudos guys, your efforts...
