We've been ordering from Wan's for the past 8 years. Their food is always on point however with our previous order they accidentally omitted one of the dishes from our delivery. We phoned Wan's and they were very apologetic, offering us a few different resolutions. The one we opted for was for them to comp the dish next time we ordered (essentially a credit). They took our phone number and said they would use that as a reference for the credit but I was a little skeptical their commitment to the comp would be remembered the next time we ordered. To their credit, the next time we ordered (about 2 months later) there was no problem at all and they were more than happy to follow through on their previous commitment. Their food continues to be on point, their service fantastic and we look forward to the next 8+ years of enjoying Wan's close ended egg rolls, chicken fried rice, General Tso's Chicken and...
Read moreWan’s Chinese is the best in Barrhaven by far. They always come through with top shelf Szechuan chicken and the Cantonese chow mein is always proper.
This family owned business is run very clean. You can see right down in there kitchen. One time I was late to pickup my food (my fault) and they recooked it for me as they didn’t want me to get it cold. The food doesn’t leave that strong MSG taste in your mouth like other places.
For whoever made the review about there food being late on Xmas eve, you should know that’s and New Year’s Eve are the busiest days of the year for these kind of businesses. Cut them some slack. Pick it up if you want faster service.
Overall I truly give them 9.7/10 from over 50 times ordering from them. Very few issues over there years. I’ve been a customer for 15+ years and whenever someone orders from elsewhere I tell them they need to get their...
Read moreI never leave a bad review but this is just ridiculous. Person on the phone was pleasant, good menu, good reviews and my pregnant self was excited to get some good Chinese food. Looked past the kinda high prices (for suburbia Chinese take-out, it's high) and ordered. My crispy beef and general Taos chicken didn't even have the sauce mixed! I had to put it in another bowl and mix the meats and the sauce together! The crispy beef had the sauce in another package but the generals Taos looked like it was lazily just dry chicken tossed on top of the sauce. If you are going to charge that much for take-out, least you can do is mix the darn dishes and some presentation! Noodles and rice were cold and sub-par (everything was picked up right away and 'fresh'). Couple of packets of soy sauce thrown in- no hot sauce or chopsticks?!? For 3 dishes to come...
