We were in CBS from out of town and decided to stop by for take-out. Upon entering, we stood near a “wait to be seated” sign in front of the bar, where the staff simply looked at us like we had 10 heads, especially a lady with dark mid length hair, and she and staff proceeded to address and serve other customers walking in the door while we just stood there waiting. It was clear that the staff knew the customers entering. Eventually I approached one staff member and asked them if we could order take out. We looked at the menus and again had to grab someone’s attention to order, even though there were 3 staff members behind the counter. Once the food was ready, we were given a paper bag and as an afterthought we’re asked if we wanted coleslaw and tartar sauce, even though the menu states it’s part of the meal. Luckily we did not drive off without it, as we were heading to the beach with our food. Before we left lot I decided to check the bags, and sure enough - no cutlery or napkins, nor any ketchup or vinegar for the fries. I had to go back inside to track someone down again to get this. The food was not great. The fries were so dark they were almost black - significantly over cooked - and the fish was super bland. The tartar sauce had more mustard than any other ingredient. A $70 meal (including tip) while a burger at McDonald’s would have been enjoyed more and have come with far better service. I do not recommend this restaurant. In fact, it’s probably the worst food purchasing experience service I have ever...
Read moreI recently had my second disappointing experience with Tiny's Paradise. Both times I ordered, they forgot parts of my order, causing major inconvenience as I had to drive back to get the rest of my food. The first time, they forgot the poutine, and instead of refunding me, they offered a credit. When I inquired about this credit during my second order, they claimed they couldn’t find it under my name and mentioned that credits older than 60 days no longer existed. This policy was never communicated to me when they issued the credit.
The second time was even worse. We placed a large order for Father's Day supper, and they forgot 1/3 of it. When I called, they were hardly apologetic and simply said the missing food was still at the restaurant. They offered me the option to come back or get another credit. Given this was their mistake, a proper apology and a refund (not a credit) would have been the appropriate response.
When I went back to pick up the food, there was no mention of any compensation for the inconvenience, especially since this was the second time it happened. To top it off, when we finally got home, the food was soggy. The batter had fallen off the fish, and we had to put everything back in the oven to make it somewhat edible.
Terrible experience overall. I would not recommend spending...
Read moreI had a couple of appointments today so instead of going home for lunch I decided to go to Tiny's Restaurant in Paradise. The waitress Mona greeted me @ the door and showed me to my table and asked what I'd like to drink I said as nice hot cup of tea she said no problem I will put the kettle on! (As it was RDF here today) She gave me a few minutes to figure out what I wanted! I ordered pea soup and crispy chicken caesar wrap. She came out with my tea and told me she even heated my mug in the microwave so my tea would be nice and hot just the way I like it! Few minutes later out with my food it was delicious as always! She told me that there was only 2 waitresses on and they had a full house. She kept checking on me and then asked if I wanted dessert and I said what would she recommend and she said turtle cheesecake. It was delicious and service was excellent....
