Very unfriendly and rude staff. We have a busy toddler who needs to move around. They do not provide highchairs and it is unsafe for a toddler to sit in one of the regular seats. She was staying in her own bubble, not bothering anyone. The manager came out, got into my daughter's personal space, nearly pushing her back towards us. Either she walked around in her own world (she's shy so didn't get too close to anyone anyways) or sat on our laps and screamed, frustrating and annoying everyone in the building. I would have been more receptive and appreciative if the manager had come to talk to us quietly and didn't get into my daughter's space. The way he delt with things was extremely inappropriate and uncalled for. Update: Correction, you do not carry hot drinks through that space, they are placed on the bar for pick up. Social distancing (which was your complaint even though she only came within six feet of a person once) was not taken into consideration at this time as you were too close to my daughter. You did not walk her back to the table, I came to get her away from you as quickly as possible. My problem wasn't with the young cashier. If you enjoy children and hearing their laughter in your store, perhaps you should consider setting up for them and accommodating all of your guests. It is unnecessary to lie about the situation as I have witnesses who are non family members who saw how the situation occurred. Your response in return is unprofessional and untrue. It is unfortunate you chose to deal with the situation the way that you did. I would be happy to discuss with you, in the presence of my witnesses and in person, the situation that occurred. If you're going to make a "come back" it would be better to be truthful in what you're saying. Perhaps you should think a little harder about your response before posting.
It's obvious that you are very upset and that you could quite clearly handle this situation much better than what you are, and as I said before would be happy to discuss this further in person. You choose to decline this offer and you've chosen to be combative over Google reviews, which as a business owner, looks a bit unprofessional. I have proof that I in fact did not yell as I walked out the door, I was upset and told you to get a highchair in a firm voice, which is something perhaps you aren't used to. What I said was not unreasonable, as it is quite simple to obtain a highchair, I can assure you. Your account is inaccurate and, as I said before, would be happy to pursue this further and discuss what your witness saw and mine would be happy to do the same. I am unhappy with how you dealt with the situation. You crowding into my daughter's personal space was highly inappropriate and uncalled for. She did not come within six feet of the gentleman whom you claim to be one of your witnesses. My witnesses can attest to this, as I'm sure yours can also. Read moreWe walked from Pacific Shores Resort to visit here whilst on vacation for our anniversary. Upon arrival it was really nice, spacious with a great selection of food and drink. We bought 3 bakery items and 2 large iced drinks. Mine was a large iced mocha with oat milk and it was made using regular milk because she hadn’t heard me saying oat milk. I said I would pay for the oat milk and I was charged for an entire new drink (not great customer service but fair enough) I waited for my drink again to be told they didn’t even have a ticket for it. I work as a manager in an independent coffee shop myself and the communication between staff was so bad let along the customer service at points. The woman at the bar making the coffees was lovely and apologetic as well. The right drink I got in the end was okay, the chocolate egg drink my partner got he said tasted just like strong black coffee (that might be what people like but he definitely didn’t expect from the ingredients listed) he ended up having my first made drink as we’d already paid for it but all of the drinks were thin and watery. The ‘Very Berry’ bakery item was delicious as well as the ‘Oat Fudge Beownie’ The Naniamo Bar was pretty good too. Overall a disappointing visit here and such a shame and waste of money. Just to add a lady just tripped over the mat in the doorway resulting in her falling to the floor and hurt herself not a single staff member came over when she fell and seemed super unbothered what I asked for some ice for the lady. Read moreThis was my very first time grabbing a bite to eat from here. Frankly the original service wasn’t bad, a young blonde took our order and was very kind to my girlfriend and I. My girlfriend chose a Greek yogurt berry cup because she loves plain Greek yogurt and berries. She mixed everything together and took her first couple bites. She couldn’t stomach it, I took some bites, it was sour. I took it up to the front and told them that it was gross and sour. The younger girl was very polite and friendly and let me know it was made yesterday. The old lady with faded blonde looking hair was quite rude. I heard her mutter to the young girl in a rude tone and frankly the entire experience with the old lady was incredibly rude. We are on a long trip exploring new places and that experience was awful. I really have no words to describe how rude she was in dealing with the issue. Practically blaming it on us for the food being sour. Assuming we had no idea what we were getting, not that it was marked as anything in the display cooler. I really hope that this isn’t the standard for customer service.
