Atmosphere was great. Food was decent. The wait after ordering was on the long side (but they were busy). Service/attentiveness was good from the waitress but not so much from the manager or owner.
I took my wife and 2 children here for Mother's Day dinner after going to the Pelham Art Fair. We ordered extra so we would have some leftovers. I spent $93 before the tip and we had half a large pizza, 10 wings and a slice of each of the kids' pizzas left (one of our kids is a vegetarian and ordered the Margherita pizza, and the other ordered pepperoni). The waitress brought us 3 styrofoam clamshell to-go containers to put it all in. My wife took one up to the counter and asked for a pizza box instead. The manager (owner?) told her they would only let her have one if she would pay them $2.00, because "the pizza boxes cost $2.00 more than the styrofoam to-go containers." Did I mention that I had already spent $93 there and it was Mother's Day? Also, they don't charge an extra $2.00 for their to-go pizzas which they put in the same boxes.
We put the wings in one clamshell, jammed/layered half a large pizza into another, and disappointed our daughter by having her pizza slice touching one with meat in the 3rd clamshell. And... Styrofoam? Really??? Do they not watch the news? The waitress (who was very nice) apologized, and we could see she felt embarrassed; of course we left her a good tip as this wasn't in her ability to control.
An OK meal, but the manager/owner's demeanour really left a bad taste in our mouths at the end. Congratulations to him for saving the $2.00... of course it will cost them lots of future $93.00 sales from us as we will likely not make an effort to return. Not much of a savings for him after all. My Grandfather used to call this “stepping over a dollar to pick up a penny” (hint: it is not an...
Read moreFABULOUS food. Wonderful atmosphere. Beautiful restaurant. Fun and Friendly staff. Lots of parking. Great views of the area.
See bottom for food review specific.
I've had the pizza and wings through work but this was the first time I've eaten in house.
Celebrated a birthday party and they assigned a specific room for larger groups.
Staff is extremely friendly and the service is excellent. I can't emphasize how nice the place is. There's a sit at higher table area, bar type, there's normal tables and booths. There's a large group room so as not to disturb the main dining area. There's a seperate area complete for call in and delivery or pick-up pizza.
They've literally layed out the place in the most appealing, yet common sense layout. The restrooms are intelligently placed nearer the take out area so they are accessible when the restaurant area is closed.
The food itself, well..... Mind-blowing! The selection is great. Customization is great.
The FLAVOUR and freshness is second to none in Niagara. We tried almost every pizza they had and it's an internal battle to determine which is best because they are all best!
I normally would not say this but it is worth the drive to Pelham to eat here. I understand why it is my aunt and uncles and their kids favorite place.
And that's the thing. People in ranging from their 70's through their 40s to teens all thought the food was great. To appeal to multi generations menu wise is a talent.
One of those menus with such great choices that makes you want to come back to try the next...
Read moreTerrible customer service. We arrived at 5pm for a table of 13. We were told it would be 40-45 min. 6pm we were still waiting, even a table of 10 was seated right away 25 min after we were there and that table had be sitting vacant from the time we were there, just figured they were waiting for a table or tables to clear in the back room. But no, they were sitting tables of 3 and 4 back there instead of holding the table to open for us. I know this because I wondered back to look. So after 60 min and still no table, the young fellow at the front told us it was going to be another 45-60 min before we could sit?????? What?????? We asked one of the experienced waiters/waitress (not to get them in trouble) the comment was " that's because they have kids taking care of the seating". Hate to say it but he was right. They couldn't organize a 2 car funeral! Also this is not the first time we waited to seat a large table. Last time we were there we needed a table for 11 and they would not seat us until we had six people from our group present??? Apparently, people don't show, up we were told. So basically told us to our face we were liars, really!!!!! Wow! I really hope their customer service improves or there's going to be a lot of people out of a job when the customers stop coming. Service doesn't start at the table with your order, it starts when you walk through the door. Perhaps they need to spend more time teaching the young staff how to do their job. OR, that's how they are taught, and if that's the case,...
