Young's Thai Cuisine — Restaurant in Pelham

I apologize for the long post! So disappointed! I was so happy to hear all the good reviews on this place. Moved back to this area and was really excited to try them out on Mother's Day. I guess it was a bad choice! We walked in (we had made reservations) for 5:00pm they sat us down like we were unexpected ! Ugg Then we noticed people were lined up from the front desk to the front door These folks obviously picking up their orders! This should be a great sign right? But the line never moved! Well, we didn't get our menu or order taken for 20 minutes. Then we're told once we placed the order it would be another 20 minutes, ok it's Mothers Day I get it's busy we will wait. While waiting we start hearing the mumbling amongst the pick up line customers they have been waiting an hour with no pick up insight. Other tables of customers were starting to walk out one after another! They obviously were overwhelmed and disorganized. People started raising their voices about the unsatisfactory service and wait times. But here's the clincher their phones kept ringing and they kept taking orders one after another! They should have explained they were overwhelmed and could NOT take anymore orders at this time. Instead they were making things worse for each group there and people coming to pick up. We finally got one meal out of 3 delivered to our table....it was the wrong thing. My son heard the other table describe what they were waiting on so he didn't even involve the waitress ( no where in sight) just took it over to them himself. We noticed they were receiving their meals at different times meaning they were all eating at different times at the same table. At this point it's over 1 hr and 15 minutes. More tables were walking out I felt bad because they definitely did damage to their reputation on Mother's Day! We left too. I hope in all of this they learn from their mistakes hire the staff they need or correct their system of taking orders be ready and organized for a crowd on a special day like Mother's Day! I hope to try it out and give them a chance once again but not on a holiday...

Amazing food but terrible service. My work orders from here once a month at the very least and we have had no issues. Today however I went to pick up my works take out order that was 110.75 I counted the money in front of him and then said all I have is a 5 dollar bill for the 75 cents. He counted the money with no issue. He received 115 and while making my change asked if I would like my change. I said yes but the immediately felt bad because I felt like he was asking about the change for a tip so I dropped my 4 dollars into the tip jar. 3 hours later my work gets a call saying I owe them $5 still. Not only implying I shorted them but also stole $5 out of my works lunch fund. I always return with a receipt and change for work records, so I know for a fact he was paid in full. They wanted someone from my work to leave to bring them a random $5. I find it wild this has happened given the amount of times we order from there and tip even though we have only ever gotten pick up and never sit down to eat and recieve service. Food is amazing but young man running the register has ruined...

Do not get me wrong!! I love the food and have had takeout many times. Last Sunday my family asked me where I wanted to go for my birthday. I said I would love to go there because of the food. It was a total nightmare from the minute we walked in. 10 minutes for the waiter to come over to the table and then more till he comes back with our drinks. There was only one other table and two waiters. We ordered and twenty minutes later our spring rolls come out. I asked when I ordered for hot sauce on the side. Nope. I asked again awaited another 10 minutes for it. Twenty more minutes go by...as I'm just about to walk out and two of five meals come out. Ten minutes goes by and I ask about the other three and he disappears for another five. Finally we all get our food and ate. When we finished the waiter came out with a coconut desert that I would never touch. At the end a woman came out and said she was sorry....but I'm afraid I will never go back there again. Probably the worst service I have ever witnessed. Too bad...
