The food here is good if you get here when they first open otherwise food is left sitting to get hard and gross under the heat lamps not refilled after 7 pm when they close at 9 and the service here sucks owners and staff have conversations with each other in their own language with you standing right there waiting for service wich I find extremely rude when they know how to speak English and the older waitress that's there day shift and night Shift is horrible she takes forever to even bring water and then if u do order drinks your lucky to get them before your done eating if she even remembers to bring them she rarely clears dirty plates until your done wich is bad cuz its a smorge so plates pile up if you go for seconds and not once has she ever brought me the bill before I left the table and have to stand around waiting minimum 5 minstrel at the till for her to bring the bill so I can pay I am still a regular customer Cuz like I said the food is good (I go when they first open ) but the staffs manners and work ethic need some serious work and the fact that they have a 12 yr old bus girl who doesn't have the class to go out of cuatomer site to pick her wedgie...
Read moreAwful. Ordered 3 Items, all specifically mentioning we are vegetarian. Vegetarian spring roll, vegetarian chow mein, vegetable chop suey. Drove 20 minutes home and found chicken in the chop suey, and beef in the chow mein. I called the store only to be told they would call me back. They called me back and told me to bring the food back and they would remake it (40 minutes of driving round-trip) I said okay please have the new food ready as we are going to be eating now 1.5 hours past when we had originally gotten home. I arrived to have the owner of the place pick through my food and not believe me on the chowmein because there was "no chicken in it anymore" I had to play charades to explain to him that I ate it, do you think I drove an extra 40 minutes because I am lying? Then he decided to remake the food so we had to wait another 15-20 minutes for that before I could drive back home and finally eat. Will never go back and will reccommend to anyone I know not to bother. Save the hassle and go to Penticton Buffet. Way nicer service and if there is a mistake your not fighting to get it fixed, they apologize and remake the...
Read moreI traveled to Penticton for work and this was my first time trying this restaurant. Despite the mixed reviews, I thought I’d give it a shot by ordering the Wonton Soup and Chicken Chow Mein.
The Wonton Soup was enjoyable. Tender wontons. Flavourful soup. It seems like such a simple dish, but I’ve had some pretty bad experiences with it, so this was nice.
Unfortunately, that’s about the only compliment I can give. When I got to the Chicken Chow Mein, I found the noodles pasty and the chicken dry. Flavour-wise, it was okay, but nothing extraordinary.
To top it off, there were no chopsticks in the bag. I got to my hotel room and had to figure out how to eat my meal. I never thought to ask for chopsticks because, in my decades of ordering Chinese food from anywhere, there’s always been at least one set in the bag.
Hopefully this review will be helpful to the restaurant owner and they’ll work on the food quality and other issues because they are conveniently located to...
