Best place to eat by far.... my husband and I have been there twice now. Yes yes not a bunch of times but I have never had this good of food anywhere.( I've been to the keg in Peterborough and the waiter wouldn't even serve me my food it was bad...)

The prices at Amandalas are the same as the keg and if they are more ite becasue its better! And you are getting what you pay for, if you want to feel rushed out of your meal and feel unsatisfied go somewhere else to eat. Amandalas is the best close up experience with your significant other. I could talk to him and actually hear him, we had a conversation at the dinner table! That alone is worth every penny to me. Amandalas service was outstanding the waitress was nice as peach pie and always on cue, but not that pushy kinda way she was so nice and just genuine. Amanda herself is amazing very sweet and knowledgeable enjoys her work.

Now here it comes the kitchen staff.... I dont know who any of you are but your food is outstandlingly amazing, your alpaca soup was to die for!!!!! Everything was perfect this time and the last time we visited. You will want to try everything after you have been there once. Chefs who cook with love of food will always be successful and their food will always be ridiculously amazing! These chefs cook with a lot of love. Appreciation from this guest here for the whole experience. Cant wait for my...

We were there on the weekend for dinner. We are new to the Peterborough area so thought we would try something a little more fine dining. It's a nice place, the food overall, though, was not what I expected at all. I had the chicken supreme, and to be honest it was probably the best and most tender chicken I had ever had, and crisp skin. That's the good good and unfortunate is pretty much where it stops. There is too much going on on the plate. There are too many different flavors, it's supposed to be with risotto and it came with a overcooked wild rice. My partner had the seafood paella, it was beyond disappointing. The muscles were not cooked. We had to ask for fresh mussels, which they did provide, but a wooded it nice to eat them with the meal. The rice was overcooked over flavored. Paella is a simple meal. I know it's nice to get large portions, but when they're disproportionate to the plate it's a little consuming. We had the baked brie as well, once again, too many flavors mashed together. Would have been far better off separating the flavors/items from presentation point of view and from an eating point of view. I can't say the food was bad, I would prefer a little more simple and a lot less going on with the plates. Would I go back? Back no would I recommend it? Probably not. The...

Recently retired to Peterborough area from Oakville and have been looking for a nice fine dining restaurant to celebrate a birthday. Amandala's website looked interesting and appealing. Called multiple times to make a reservation, but no one answered the number provided on their website, finally someone answered their phone, asked for a reservation for 2, was advised only the owner could take reservations and had to leave my name and number and was advised owner would be back to me within an hour. Never heard back from the owner, so made alternate arrangements at another restaurant without issue. While enjoying our meal, we received a call from this restaurant apologizing for a communication error and advising we could call back to make a reservation for dinner. Sorry missed opportunity. If you promote yourself as a fine dining restaurant, then invest in a reservation system or give your staff the authority to take reservations. First impressions are so important, not impressed with this...

My partner and I had the pleasure of dining at Amandala's yesterday evening and it was a fantastic experience. We started with the charcuterie board and enjoyed both of the chef specials for dinner, which were a fish dish and pork chops (I had the pork chops dinner and it was spectacular! And my partner highly enjoyed his fish as well). We ended our meals with hands down the best cheesecake I've ever had (we had the chocolate raspberry...fresh raspberries!!) Everything was fresh and prepared with care, even down to the mocktails! Amanda was our server and I didn't catch the other servers name who seemed to be training alongside her but both were excellent! Very attentive and kind :) from the service, atmosphere and food it was well worth every penny spent. If you are planning your next date night or celebration I highly recommend Amandala's, you won't be disappointed!!

We went to Amandala' for our 26th anniversary. We are from Mississauga but were staying at a cottage a half a hour away and we found the place through Google. We were very happy that we picked it for our special day. Everyone was very friendly ,informative and their suggestions were spot on. During these difficult times of covid they practiced all the safe measures. The atmosphere was quite, intimate and relaxed. The food was great. The only thing missing was the carrot cake for dessert. They said that they would be happy to make sure it was available for our next visit. I am a fan of carrot cake and they had rave reviews for theirs which I found out was made local. Thank you to everyone for making our anniversary a great one. See you next year.

Visited for a special occasion, the staff was genuinely warm and engaging. Quite frankly they were the perfect precursor for an amazing meal. The four of us shared a paella which was extraordinary as the rice was perfect and flaky and the seafood within the dish was absolutely a perfect along with the sausage. My particular appetizer was a lobster ceviche That was rich and sauces and the flavour of the lemon. The desert which I took home was the most amazing carrot cake. Needless to say the special occasion was a success and a good time was had by all.
