My minimum expectation when entering an establishment of any sort is to be acknowledged.. especially in my local coffee shop that I chose to support ....but this did not happen this morning...not even after waiting in line patiently for over 5 mins behind one person getting one coffee...( yet discussing their whole adjustment to the pandemic.)..at minute 7.. I started to pace..attempting to make eye contact with the other employee who was simply meandering ..to no avail..so at the 10th minute I left...without saying anything ..which isn't helpful..so I took the time to call and explain ...only to be not apologized to..instead I was told that if I had waited til I got to the register I would have been greeted...and at no time in our conversation did he apologize... I felt taken for granted as a patton...and all this without a coffee ! not a happy ex customer ..
EDIT UPDATE*
....as I can't seem to respond to your comment on this platform ..I am going to just
**EDIT and UPDATE my REVIEW *
.I didn't jist stand at the entrance...I walked in...stood in line..waited...and waited..for just a hello even..looked at your extra seating downstairs ..watched you pick up a bag..put in down..go back..help yourself to a bite of a muffin.. still no hello..just blatantly ignored... so as I was upset ..I left.. .but I then I took my time to give you a Heads up about my displeasure during a phone call...still no apology...then I give you a review..and got a response in which you still did not apologize whatsoever in ...not a sorry...no thank you for your patronage or sorry for the confusion..but that's fine...everyone can see your response... ..again...my complaint was my minimum expectation was to be greeted...how you handled it is your problem..but if you think anyone believes that I walked in and stood at a door then called and went on-line about it twice... just to still not receive an apology is insane ! a review is meant to be a learning experience that you...
Read moreLast night my friends and I came here 30 min before closing time to get some hot beverages. The service we got was abysmal and rude. The overweight Indian girl that works there was very rude to us and gave us attitude the whole time we were there even though we told her we understand you close in 30 min. When it was time for the café to close, she could have politely informed us. Instead, she chose to communicate in a rude tone and exhibited unnecessary attitude by nodding her head in a disrespectful manner before turning away abruptly. On top of the terrible service from her, she also made our drinks terribly. The caramel macchiato was cold and the chai tea latte seemed like she dumped all the cinnamon she had in it. Her demeanor made it evident that she was unhappy in her role, suggesting she might not be suited for the service industry. Wish we had the manager present so we could have spoken to her about the awful service from this girl. The other girl on the other hand who was sweeping and taking out the garbage was very pleasant to deal with. You would think after spending about $24 on a couple drinks and a slice of cake you would be treated with some respect. Very disappointed in this...
Read moreOwner Steve supports loyal patrons being physically handled by a panhandler assaulter named Steph (pictured). He and some staff encourage it by providing regular support to her while threatening patrons for reacting to being assaulted. Steph has been panhandling outside this location for over a year and patrols the sidewalk confronting people aiming to hustle people for $ for cigarettes which she regularly smokes while patrolling. Aside from this the establishment needs a second expresso machine so that one staff member isn’t overwhelmed constantly during a rush which is always the case and you can read the other reviews to confirm. Most of the staff is nice but many will simply give you the cold shoulder for no reason while gossiping, but I suspect that’s due in part to the owner not creating an environment where the staff is incentivized to do so. Hours can be unreliable, you can arrive a couple hours before close and they’ll say they’re closing a few minutes early because the owner remotely checks how business is going so if there’s less traffic he’ll close up shop. Please don’t support illegal behaviour, there are many other places in town for coffee...
