Apollo Grill — Restaurant in Peterborough

I don't know what they put in these burgers, but it tastes like sunshine and miracles. Absolutely phenomenal. The fries were cooked to perfection, similar to swiss chalet but even better. The portion size on the large fries was insane, my fiancee and I shared and could not finish. I read some reviews complaining about the prices, but I thought they were extremely reasonable considering the quality. We loved how spacious and quiet the dining area was, not to mention the super cool retro theme. The only negative thing I can say is that the straws are too thin for such a thick milkshake, makes it hard to drink (amazing flavour though).

This was my first experience at Apollo Grill. My brother mentioned it. So he my dad and I went there together. When we walked in we were greeted by pleasant staff. The layout was that of a 50’s diner. The thing that struck me the most was that in the menu was the infamous “Royal Burger.” As soon as I seen it I was flooded with such great memories from my childhood. Royal Burger was one of the very first restaurants my parents took me and my brothers to. To see that they have included such nostalgic things make this a place one that I will frequent every time I’m back in Peterborough. To top it off. The food was amazing. We just got out of this store and honestly, I don’t know if I will go back. There was an older lady on the cash register who was rude right away. We sat there waiting for out takeout order and while waiting she came and brought food to people who came in after us. I finally got up and asked about our order and she looked at me like she didn’t know what I was talking about. Out bag was just sitting there, who knows for how long. No apology no nothing, just handed me the food. When I got to the car I checked the burgers and they were cold! Extremely poor service.
