Bad experience. We have ordered in the past and the order was not correct. Thought we would give them another chance. We ordered beef fried rice, chicken chow mein, General Tao’s Chicken and beef egg foo young. The beef in the rice was tough, the general Tao’s chicken was also tough and not spicy. The beef egg foo young did not come with the sauce. I called to complain that they did not send the sauce, only to be told we needed to specifically order the sauce as it was now an extra. We checked the internet on how to make egg fu young, the first item listed in the instructions is how to make the Chinese brown sauce that is traditionally served on the dish. Also, know where on the menu does it say you need to order the sauce separately. We have had it in the past and it has always come with the sauce included. We checked their website and it does not say you need to order separately as well. It is not a listed item on their menu. When I called, they were less than accommodating. They did eventually deliver it to our house, but by then our dinner was over. The food was flavourless and we will never order from Happy...
Read moreI have been to so many Chinese restaurants in Canada. But this is the best place among the all in customer service. We went to this place 2 weeks ago on our way to our Cottage trip. And we were fortunate the day we visit was the first day they had it opened for dine-in. My kids wanted to eat using chop-stick and the Owner lady who is such and angel made the chopstick functional using rubber band and tiny paper roll. And the food taste phenomenal and portions are great value for the money. My kids who are age 12 and 10 forced me to give 20 dollars tips even though the owner said it is too much. I always think that there are few things beyond money and this is one of that place. My next trip to Toronto from Ottawa will be definitely via Peterborough with a stop over...
Read moreGot take out yesterday and for the second time we were very disappointed. Thought we would give one more chance but had the same result. The portions have substantially decreased and so have the ingredients. The Cantonese Chow Mien had almost no chicken or pork, 3 pieces of broccoli, a few tiny pieces of onion and 2 slices of a carrot. Almost no chicken in the rice. Chicken balls had very tin pieces of chicken and were over cooked. There was 1 soya sauce in the bag and no plum sauce. It. Was assumed that out order was for 2 people so there was only 2 fortune cookies. I don’t no why places cheap out like this because all it does is disappoint people and turn them off on returning. We won’t...
