Terrible (DO NOT COME HERE)
If you want a recap of what I wrote scroll to the bottom
Where do I start, you come into a forest patio and sit yourself in uncomfortable benches/picnic tables just to get eaten alive by mosquitos, that you are surrounded in. You have to go inside to get the menus, then go and order at the bar. They make you juggle your glasses and drinks out to your own table. Then leafs and tiny bugs fall into the expensive drinks…disgusting. (Nature atmosphere but it’s not worth the dread) The staff was disinterested and not very welcoming and didn’t bother to greet us nor say goodbye. The cowboy breakfast said it comes with ham, sausage, bacon, and beans, but then they say you can only pick one of those, (which the menu did not specify at all.) The wait was awful. We were the only ones there for the longest time, and the food took at least 30-45 minutes. There is no music, nor people around and it was boring. We were practically out in the middle of a forest getting eaten alive while they take their sweet time. When we finally got our food (at different times) they forget who ordered what. It’s very expensive for what you get. The eggs were very bland, and needed ketchup, but the ketchup container they use is hard to get out and just ends up spilling. The two mini sausages you get (if you get the sausage version of the cowboy breakfast because you can only pick one protein) was the only decent part of the meal. The toast was hard and only came with orange jam. The home fries were awful. They were burnt and had a horrible flavour.
Surprised by all the good reviews, but noticed a lot were from years ago, if this place used to be good, it’s gone WAY down hill. Will never be coming back here. Don’t usually write reviews but thought people deserved to be warned about not wasting their time + money here. So do yourself a favour and skip this place.

Read moreGot the British Breakfast - took over an hour for ham, beans, 2 sausages, two eggs, homefries and toast.
Started at the bar with my partner and our friend and the bartender / server ignored us for 15 minutes before taking our orders. When she finally took our drink and food orders (coffee, rootbeer and a ginger ale, x2 British Breakfasts and JerkTurkey Sandwich w/ soup), it took another 15 minutes to be handed a can from the fridge.
We sat around for another 45 minutes after that (1 hr 15 min) and when the food finally arrived I had 3 slices of paper thin luncheon meat ham straight from the fridge, two scoops of beans right out of the can, overcooked eggs, undercooked homefries- the only thing that turned out was the two breakfast sausages and the toast and they were just the bare minimum of not being burnt or raw.
My friend got the same thing as I did, no difference.
My partner got a JerkTurkey sandwich and it was inedible and disgusting. He took two bites and had to give up- the jerk sauce was rancid or maybe just ridiculously cheap but either way it was absolutely awful. It actually made him gag, and when I tried the turkey to see if he was exaggerating, I had to spit it out. His potato and bacon soup was the highlight of all three of our meals- it contained potatoes and bacon and that's really all that can be said about it.
None of us had eaten yet today so we ate what we could, paid and left. If we weren't so hungry from waiting so long I 100% would have complained and sent it back, but between the disgusting food and awful service, we just wanted to be done. My bill came to $50 after tip (partner and I) and I feel like I cut up a $50 bill and tossed it into the wind. I have no idea what the hype is about The Only. Seriously, if you're debating going for...

The Avocado in the sandwich is the best part of the sandwich. Gouda not the best part in my own preference. Peppers & tomato were great. I do have to say, the service here is the WORST I've experienced from a Café in Peterborough especially a local café. The worst local Café that I've been to in Peterborough. They keep on repeating & telling you how there's no table service here & it doesn't even feel friendly. They don't say it to you about how there's no table service here in a friendly & inviting way. They just say it to you casual & straight forward which is not effective especially if there are first-time comers here.
If there's no table service, then you should pay up front FIRST THING before receiving & eating your food just like Tim Hortons but they don't even mention for you to pay right away. There's no call to action there. All they say is that you pick your own table & that there's no table service. It's not clear. The fact that they do not tell you to pay up front First Thing makes you assume that there is table service because with table service, you usually pay after eating your meal. Then, the bartender brings the food to your table after making it clear in the beginning that there's no table service so now, you're just shaking your head.
