Update 2022- So, I don’t know what happened to this place but it has gone downhill. It wasn’t great last year but it’s year the food quality is terrible! We ate in the the rebranded restaurant (The Waterview) and we had what I believe was the worst meal and bad service we’ve had in a very long time at the cost of $100! The nachos were VERY small with very little cheese, literally the worst I have had in memory. The $24.99 seafood platter was also very small portion, 3 scallops, two dried up, over cooked shrimp, a handful of what I think were supposed to be clams, also well over cooked and a dried up piece of fish. All was lukewarm. The mussels were ok, but hard to mess those up. The remainder was also bad. We are in a seaside town, and one would expect the seafood to be excellent. Wrong! Then, fast forward a week later, we ordered a pizza from the take out. It was pretty good last year, well, not so much this year and they messed up the order. While the staff was looking for the pizza we ordered,(very unorganized) another guy took bacon out of the microwave and spread it on half our pizza with his BARE HAND after touching things, doors etc in the kitchen! Gross! Clearly, they forgot to put it on the pizza before cooking and, btw, I asked for it on the WHOLE pizza, but instead, it was on half, the half with the black olives which one person can’t stand who was eating it. Anyway, I could go on but I won’t bother. My point is made. I will not be spending my hard earned money here anymore. There really isn’t a good place to eat in Pictou, but this one has dropped from mediocre to terrible. I’ve tried 3 and none are worth the money they are charging. I recommend going to New Glasgow or maybe, just McDonalds, at least you get what you pay for and you know...

Trying for the first time, although there was no answer when I called to order, finally decided to drive down, went to the takeout window and after placing the order was told wait time of 40 mins, I gotta say the food was absolutely DELICIOUS and I received the order in just 20 mins. It was still hot when I got home 10 mins later which tells me the food was not just sitting and was prepared fresh off the stove. Donair, Fish and Chips and Chicken Shawarma platter with fries is a MUST try. 2 Staff members I dealt with were friendly and professional. Thank you Team!! ...... now THAT'S what I call ...... A1 food A1 service from A1 Pizza!! KUDOS!! 🤓

I am visiting from Toronto and I was suggested to eat there from a local business. It was like 5 minutes walk from my hotel so I figured I can go and try it. I was surprised to see such a variety of Mediterranean meals. I took the chicken shawarma wrap with fries. It was so satisfying and tasty. I will definitely return to try the lobster wrap this weekend. Service was excellent and you feel home.
