Alladin Syrian Canadian Restaurant — Restaurant in Pictou

A few weeks ago, my family was looking for somewhere to sit and eat our takeout from a different restaurant. One of the owners at Alladin cheerfully invited us to move one of the picnic tables into the shade, even though we weren't eating his food. We then listened as he continued to be kind, friendly, and generous to all the customers who came to his establishment. We knew then we were coming to eat at Alladin the next time we were in Pictou. That time was today, and the food did NOT disappoint. The chicken shwarma and the fish and chips were both amazing and clearly prepared with love and patience. The prices are great as well. Excellent food and the owner is super nice and generous too! My wife and I visited for the first time in our way back from Cape Breton and saw this authentic Syrian place we stopped there for a late lunch and the view was stunning and the food made it even better. We had the falafel sandwiches that were very flavourful (he added two extra on the side for us to try without bread) and filling and finished it up with the baklava! What a gem - the falafel wrap was unique and very satisfying. Very reasonably priced. Abdul, the proprietor, asked how I found the place I said Google Maps, with a rating of 4.8. His ten year old daughter corrected me "it's 4.9, now". She glanced at her father, in a 'see, I told you so' way, with a satisfied grin, as I provided the validation to why reviews are important.
