Excellent Indian cuisine at Sarnia. We stayed at Sarnia this weekend for 2 days and we had our dinner at Sitara both these nights. Food was very good in terms of taste and quantity. First night, we ordered goat biriyani (5/5), shikh kabab (4.5/5), daal makhni (5/5), and garlic naan. Second night, we ordered chana batoora (4.5/5), daal makhani (5/5), butter chicken (4/5, too sweet for me, but my family liked it), dahi bara (4.5/5), tandoor roti, and garlic naan. We went for chai on Sunday morning. Chai is excellent! The place was full of local people and tourists for breakfast and brunch, who come regularly here. The service was amazing, both night we were served by Harpreet (if I am not mistaken with the name). She was very warm and ensured if everything was okay. The atmosphere is warm and cozy with beautiful interior.

I can't say enough good things about this business as a whole. They are very connected to the community compared to other businesses. The food is top quality. My experience this evening with not feeling well I was able to have my family meal delivered to our home in Corunna for a low price. We also were able to split our meal up and get smaller sample size items so we could sample some dishes as it was our first time eating another other than butter chicken. Sunny was very kind and easy to work with. My favorite dish now has changed from my own cooked butter chicken, to Chicken Tikka Malasa... delicious. With a cost of 73.00 with tax and delivery. I gave a 5⭐ for atmosphere because I got to eat in the comfort of my own bed lol Thank you Sitara Indian Cuisine for the great experience.

A random visit but a great visit. Customer service was great, friendly and welcoming. The menu had all the offerings you’d expect from an Indian restaurant. I wasn’t a particular fan of the two starters I ordered, a serve of samosas gives you exactly 1 piece, it was alright but nothing special. The chicken tandoori wasn’t the best, firstly the meat was on a bone and was more bone than meat and was a little dry. The curries tho were actually good. The madras lamb was particularly good, the lamb was cooked to perfection and I asked for extra spicy and got a good level of spice. The same can be said for masala dosa. If you skip the starters and overlook the somewhat dated interior, I’m fairly sure a good meal is to be found for most.

An Outstanding Experience at Sitara Indian Cuisine, Point Edward

I recently had dinner at Sitara Indian Cuisine in Point Edward, and it was truly one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in a long time.

From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was warm and inviting. The restaurant strikes the perfect balance between a comfortable setting and authentic Indian charm. The staff were friendly, attentive, and made us feel genuinely welcome throughout the evening.

The food was absolutely exceptional. Every dish was prepared with care, offering rich, bold flavors that stayed true to authentic Indian cooking. We started with Pani Poori—fresh, crisp, and bursting with tangy flavors. The Chana Bhatura was another standout, with soft, fluffy bhatura and perfectly spiced chickpeas.

For mains, we enjoyed Garlic Naan, and Daal Makhni. Each bite was a treat— the garlic naan fresh from the oven, and the daal makhni creamy and comforting, just as it should be.

Overall, Sitara delivers not just a meal but a complete experience of authentic Indian hospitality and cuisine. I highly recommend this place to anyone in or around Point Edward looking for genuine Indian flavors. I will definitely be...

My son and I really enjoyed our visit to Sitara. The music was relaxing, there were cute baby animals playing on a screen and the staff was friendly and attentive.

We started with Onion Bhajias and loved them, as well as the dips they were served with.

I found the Butter Chicken a bit too tomato-based for my liking, but for all I know that's more authentic than the stuff I make at home! The chicken was super tender and the dish had nice flavours.

The Korma Lamb had a very nice flavour, but I enjoyed the tenderness of the chicken dish better.

The one disappointment was the spice level - we asked for a bit of spiciness but neither dish had any kick. I'd prefer it under spicy vs over spicy since I'm a wimp, but it would have been nice to have a bit of heat.

Overall it was a lovely dining experience, but with a drink, app, naan, rice and two main dishes the bill...

Had dinner here tonight and such a great choice!! We’ve been ordering takeout with sitara for 2 years while dine in was closed, and even though the takeout is always good, nothing beats dining in. The service completely makes our meal so much more enjoyable. Our server Param was excellent, went above and beyond. He was so friendly and helpful with the menu. He even went as far as suggesting something else I never tried when I originally ordered a different dish. I am SO glad I tried it, because it’s my new favourite!(Paneer masala)

Vegetable samosas to start, and he even brought out a sauce that I’d never tried before with chili, coriander, garlic and ginger and it was soo good it added a fresh pop to a fried samosa. Garlic naan, butter chicken, paneer masala and finished off our meal with a sweet bite of Gulab Jamun.

Absolutely amazing food and top...
