Date of visit: Sunday, July 7th, 2019 While Roguetrippers were on a day trip to Sarnia, we stopped into the Ice Creamery on 158 Nelson St, Sarnia, ON N7T 5H3 it is located in a cute rustic cabin style building with several picnic tables for seating outside. upon entering we were promptly greeted with a very friendly "welcome' The display case has several types of ice cream to choose from and none of them is labelled. This is done on purpose - so the workers can educate their customers on each and every one. They go through the litany of flavours by memory, and they tell you details about them to better describe the flavours. They do a great job. The ice cream is handcrafted in small batches and made with quality fresh ingredients, and even if they didn't tell you that, you can tell by the taste. Everything tastes like it was made just for you upon order. The quality is spectacular, the flavours are all on point, and the price is very reasonable for a high quality handcrafted product. There is ample parking on site. If you are in Sarnia, you will want to make this a part of your visit.

Located in a rustic building down by the water front, this amazing ice cream store has one of the best and creamiest frozen deserts around! Both the ice cream and cake are fantastic! Made from scratch with a gourmet touch! There's plenty of wooden benches around the building to sit around in and it adds to the charm of the place! You can see Sarnia bay from here. The parking lot is gravel and a wee bit small especially during peak hours but like all great things in life, it's worth the wait! Stay safe our there people and pandemic or not, keep washing those hands! It's just good hygiene!

Yum! 🤤🥰 We had bubblegum with marshmallows and oreo cookies in one. The other cup was non dairy oreo and non dairy chocolate. So good! Glad I found this place before I stopped at McDonald's 😯 Very nice people, the young lady working welcomed us and called out every ice cream they had. I had to ask for the non dairy ones because some were in another freezer. We sat in the shaded trees out front. They also have fudge and nuts and the cones there look so good!

This review is written with care and is intended to give a good business advice which is coming from a gelato maker and a fine food business owner.

I do not know the standards of the general public but this place is dirty inside and outside, the ice-cream is absolutely artificial and the temperature needs to be adjusted as the consistency is too frozen and difficult to scoop. Also please use written tags with names so the poor worker doesn't have to repeat the names to every single customer hundred times a day. And for God's sake wash the floor, the door and the glass before your business gets closed down.

I am sorry to say this but as a gelato maker who makes everything from scratch and uses only natural ingredients, this is the worse ice-cream we have ever had. Frozen sugar with artificial, visually pleasing fluff. Invest more care.

P. S: As you can read below, the owner doesn't have much grace and doesn't accept constructive criticism very well. His response doesn't show any responsibility, is full of excuses and took over a year to be even delivered. How embarrassing to have ego bigger than the care for customers. (btw. We make gelato from scratch, we do not use any mixes at all and everything is 100% natural, our gelato has wone several awards, we know what we are doing and how to recognise a good quality and natural ingredients from cheap shortcuts). Pretentious and...
