Les Délices de la Gare Valois — Restaurant in Pointe-Claire

I am a big supporter of neighbourhood retail and restaurants. However, the owners have to get it right. Les Délices have done just that! They opened in a spot that had seen failure after failure. And this despite the location being being across the street from the busy Valois commuter station.

So what has Les Délices de la Gare done right? They have posted their open hours and they stick to them.Too many new entrepreneurs on “village style” high streets are escaping corporate hierarchy. So, they think that “being your own boss” means that they can open and close at will. Not Les Délices! The place is spotless, inside and out. Their little terasse is decorated with plants and a sun shade. Peaceful colour choices and lack of clutter make the space relaxing and peaceful. Everything is made in-house. Scones, cheesecakes, cupcakes, sandwiches - well everything - is delicious and beautifully presented. They get service right. While nice and friendly, knowledgeable service comes first.

If in Valois Village, I encourage you to drop in for an excellent cappuccino and a pastry of your choice! Or have a sandwich for lunch. You will not be disappointed.

I don t agree with the gentleman that left a " mediocer " comment. I have been going to this coffee since their opening. And that place is nothing short of spectaculair.

ALL the staff is so classy and elegant. They are all very empathetic and treat each of their clients like a member of their own family.

I was sitting next to that gentleman having written a bad comment. Let s say his face was really closed and was very dismissive with the staff who were very courteous towards him?

What does that even mean, " courteous but greedy ?" To be fair , you should state that the sandwich is advertised as a sanwdwich only. Chips and the little coleslaw comes as complementary. By the way also had a sandwich and the chips were delicious and crispy. So , that s not accurate.

This place is my go to at least twice a week. All pastries and scone are all hand made and delicious.

The owner and the staff are just simply divine .

While I was at a pet groomer, next to it stands this little cute bakery store.. we found a gem.

From the outside we can’t really tell what kind of store it is until you go inside.. wow what a cute bakery/cafe. The deco is beautifully done and also very welcoming! I overheard people inside talking about how good their cheesecake and carrot cakes are. I ordered them, tasted heavenly. The lady who was serving us was really nice as well

They have all kinds of beautiful lookin’ and tasty pastries! I totally recommend this coffee bakery place in the West Island!
