Terrible customer service. .I thought I would grab a quick lunch for myself and the kids..BIG MISTAKE, drive thru staff member was very unfriendly. A second person came to the window about 5 minutes after I paid (for the very uncomplicated order )and wanted to charge me again. After 13 minutes waiting finally the order was given to us. My order was wrong, I parked and went in with my sandwich which should have had no sauce. Server seemed rude again. While waiting for new sandwich I went use the bathroom and it was filthy. Paper towel was over flowing the garbage with both toilet paper and paper towel scattered all over the floor. Bottom line for the lenght of time and the poor service we received we could have gone inside a more friendly restaurant and had a quick lunch and left happy. I enjoy Dairy Queen a lot, though the consistency is not very good here. On my recent trip with my wife, we had chicken burgers and fries with blizzards. Unfortunately, our fries tasted like they were sitting around a lot longer than they should, and the chicken burger wasn't as tasty. My best bet was that it was sitting in the warmer longer than it should have. It wasn't busy, and there was garbage and food on the floor in the kitchen and cash area. There were 3 people, 1 running the drive thru, 1 doing cash, and the other in the kitchen. I couldn't understand why housekeeping wasn't a MAIN priority since we were the only people in the restaurant. Housekeeping is everyone's duty, especially when it makes the brand look trashy. Living in other provinces, travelling to other countries for work, DQ has one of the best menu's and food for any fast food joint. Now that we have that out of the way.... Every DQ in NS sucks. Do not eat at DQ in NS. I've been to them all. All of them don't make your burgers fresh. 100% of every burger I've had from a DQ in NS, and I've tried many times at many times of the day, they will always sell you a precooked burger (chicken too) and then microwave it.
That being said, this Port Hawkesbury location has taken the cake for bad service. Not because of friendliness, but just a complete inability to listen to what is being ordered and repeating it back correctly.
I can recommend DQ only in other provinces and countries. At which point I rate...
