Had two drinks brought to me, so canât speak for customer service or anything outside of the quality of the product I received since I havenât been to this location myself. But it was disappointing to say the least. If you look up Caramel Ribbon Crunch Frappuccino, itâs described as the following; âButtery caramel syrup blended with coffee, milk and ice, then topped with a layer of dark caramel sauce, whipped cream, caramel drizzle and a crunchy caramel-sugar toppingâoh-so-beautifully delicious.â
What I got was a Frappuccino with whipped cream, and barely any caramel flavour. There was no caramel sauce, no drizzle, and no crunchy sugar topping at all. Iâve ordered this at other locations so I knew it was wrong just by looking at it. It was somewhere around $5 just for a small, so there was no way I was wasting it. It tasted the way it looked, very plain. When I started drinking it, there was a small burst of caramel flavour and then it was gone. By the time I finished, I noticed a few little black specs in the bottom of the cup. I fished one out, and they turned out to be tiny bits of chocolate which do not belong in this drink as far as I know. This is the second time I received a drink that was not made correctly. The first time I gave them the benefit of the doubt because every business has off days. But based on both of the drinks I received and the many similar reviews, it seems this is par for the course for this location.    Read moreI would like to say a few nice things about Starbucks as a company. 1 the products are and service is always fantastic and though a little pricey I do frequent Starbucks and respect the Brand. Now for the bad, the Port Hope Location is not a corporate store and is doing damage to the brand. 1st, they almost always never have brewed coffee ready forcing me to take a different blend or wait. Also they are always apologizing for not having baked goods on hand such as cookies and more, this is a constant issue. The staff do not embrace the same level of customer service that I am used to experiencing, often talking about customers behind their backs. The other day I overheard one talking about my wife. Finally the straw that broke everything. The other day I went in to buy a cake pop, cookie and apple juice. They charged me $7.35 or so for $2.00 worth of product(as expected) but than had no cookie, so I asked for a second birthday cake pop, they said they didn't have one and went to grab a chocolate one from the display cabinet. I know they always grab fresh ones from the drawer and asked to cancel my order. They then went I to the drawer and found 2 pink cake pops. I know the cake pops cost less than cookies.    Read moreVisited this location on Saturday July 6th around 2 p.m.. there were at least 15 people in line with only one cash register open. It was a 25 -minute wait to get a coffee. when I finally did receive my coffee I also ordered a blueberry scone. I had asked for the scone to be heated with butter but they informed me they were not able to do so due to health regulations and I would have to cut the scone and put the butter on it myself. Upon doing so I cut the scone in half and it crumbled like it was a week old I couldn't even spread the butter on it without it crumbling. It was obviously stale. I brought this to the attention of the staff and they told me that it was the last one. I said just because it was the last one and its obviously stale doesn't mean you have to serve it to somebody, especially after waiting 20 minutes for my order to be filled with everybody else behind me getting frustrated because of the long wait. This location has very poor service they want to take your money but they don't want to provide you with fast efficient courteous service that offers fresh food.
