Dined in tonight with my fiancé. I ordered 2 tacos that came with fries. My sweet fiance ordered the 1 pc fish and chips. To drink, I had 2 beers, prior to our food coming. Once the food came, I realized I was too buzzed and wasn't as hungry as I initially thought. I also struggle with an eating disorder. Our waitress was kind enough to grab me a box as I didn't eat my two tacos but nibbled through my fries. We also don't live in the area so I wanted to be okay on the drive back home and be able to finish the remainder of my food at home. Our waitress asked me 3 times, "Are you SURE there's nothing wrong with the tacos?". I hadn't taken a single bite from the tacos, the fries were gone. I told her the first time, "Hey! I wasn't as hungry as I thought I was but I'm gonna demolish them later!" I said the same line to her 3 times as she asked the same question 3 different times when she would come back to our table. I understand the first time around inquiring about the tacos but from my plate, I hadn't out of the 3 times she asked touched my tacos and explained 3 times I didn't have a big appetite anymore. Please in the future, if someone tells you they want a box for their food, please do not pester insistently why they didn't clear their plate or if the food was wrong knowing full well the customer is just full. It was a strange...

Been eyeing this pub for a while, ordered delivery and I can only imagine how good the food must be fresh. I'll get food from here again, in person or delivery. Already have my eye on the brunch menu.

Got the Yorkies, a bowl of beef barley soup, braised short rib grilled cheese, and bread pudding. Didn't get a good picture of the grilled cheese and bread pudding before my husband started eating. Pub food is expensive but the quality here is great.

Heard a lot about their Yorkies, so I tried them. I'm glad the sauces were separate though. There was a lot of horse radish mayo sauce and a decent amount of gravy. It looked very unassuming but the way the flavours mixed was amazing. One bite and I understood why they're well reviewed.

Beef barley soup was tasty; wish there was a bit more but it is definitely a bowl size, not a cup. There was a good amount of beef chunks, nice barley/meat/vegetables ratio.

The short rib grilled cheese was really good. The meat was good, the outside of the bread was crispy, had a very nice crunch. As a side note, the horse radish mayo is good as a dipping sauce for fries.

The bread pudding is good bread pudding. Pretty good with the vanilla ice cream it came with. Tasty enough...

I usually love this place – it’s been my go-to spot for good drinks and a relaxed atmosphere, and I’ve always felt welcomed by the staff as we visit one another’s bars on the frequent. However, today upon walking in to a half full room with dozens of open tables + bar seats, I sat down at the bar to immediately be approached by a young hostess with dark hair bark at us “this is reserved for trivia”.

I asked “the entire seating capacity is reserved for trivia?”

“Yup” - then proceeded to insinuate for us to leave. We weren’t even asked if we were here for said “trivia night”; just asked to leave the building. For a bar that I’ve been a patron of going on 10 years and also as someone who has been in the restaurant industry for 18 years, I rarely get surprised with service interactions but getting quite literally pushed out of a bar that was half empty while most tables seated have only water in front of them, now that is a surprising business tactic I’ve yet to see.

I’m hoping the hostess is brand new and it might be just a situation of poor training, however it was extremely unprofessional and is a guarantee I won’t be back for another casual Tuesday bite n beer...

I brought my folks here for lunch a few days ago, and WOW was it better than expected. It's rarely a compliment to call something 'pub food,' but this wasn't your everyday fare – the turkey & brie sandwich was filled with proper oven-roasted turkey rather than deli-meat, and the strawberries were a nice change over the more traditional cranberry sauce. The fries were super crispy, too, and not greasy – just what you're hoping for when you indulge a not-so-healthy treat! We also got tater-tots, which I haven't had since I was a kid, and they too were SO good! My folks shared the braised short ribs, and from the chorus of "Mmmmmmm!" noises and the fact both their plates were scraped clean, that rich brown gravy and the fall-apart-tender ribs were exactly as good as they looked. We'll be going back again soon, and I'm ordering those ribs! I didn't realize the food was photo-worthy until we'd already eaten most of our meals, so while the images aren't instagram-worthy, they'll hint why we absolutely LOVED our meals. Oh, and the service was great, too.

Let me tell you about this gem of a local restaurant! The food? Absolutely amazing. Hands down, I had the best burger ever in Vancouver there. And guess what? If it's your birthday, they'll hook you up with a free shot as a little celebration gesture. But it's not just about the food; the vibe is just so darn lovely. And then there's Megan, our server extraordinaire. She took care of us like nobody's business. You can just tell she adores spending time with customers and making sure they leave with smiles on their faces. Her kindness and professionalism are off the charts. We were asking for this and that, and she was more than happy to help us out every step of the way. And get this – despite being a local spot, they're rocking a solid 4.3 review. Can you believe it? That's on par with big names like Cactus Club or Earls. But honestly, with people like Megan on their team, it's no wonder they're killing it.
