Pleasant waitress. Requested sandwich with no lettuce, arrived loaded with lettuce. Ordered breakfast/brunch consisting of two poached eggs medium. bacon has browns, toast. Waitress advised they did not make poached eggs only basted, which I agreed to.Food arrived only slightly warm, eggs were hard as rocks. I told waitress and she offered me replacement eggs only. I said never mind as I still did not wish cold food. Then owner came out and asked what was problem. I explained and he proceeded to accuse us of being rude and condescending. To be honest he was an absolute jerk. We are a senior couple on fixed income and this was to be a treat as we do not eat out often. I stopped in at The Little Spruce Café and was really impressed. The coffee was absolutely amazing — rich, smooth, and clearly brewed with care. The food was just as good, fresh and on point with flavour and presentation. The space itself has a cozy vibe that makes you want to linger a little longer.

If I had to find one small area for improvement, it would just be quicker table service during the busier times, but honestly that’s a minor detail in an otherwise excellent experience.

Miss when it was cafe on prince… the experience was better. Actual table service, deli sandwiches that were made fresh to order (not prepped at the start of the day and taste like Saran Wrap). Aside from that I’d say the food and beverage quality is still pretty good. Sucks they removed their chalk board of specialty drinks… I used to go to COP 2 times a week and since it’s been LSC, haven’t been more than twice.
