I brought my vintage tape deck to him in June to be cleaned and have the belts replaced. Originally did the work in a timely fashion but one of the belts broke during the repair. He told me that if I found another belt I could bring it back and he would put it on. It took a while but I finally managed to source another belt and brought the unit back to him at the beginning of October. He originally said he'd try to get to it that weekend so I waited a week and came in to check on it. He told me he was super busy with cell phones and that he would call. I let a couple of more weeks go by and dropped in again to check on it and he told me he was still very busy but he would get to it soon. Fast forward to today, November 28th, having heard nothing I went in to check on it again. He told me he's been swamped and I told him it's been a couple of months. He immediately became annoyed and told me I could take it home and do it myself. Having paid up front I reminded him of his promise to put the belt on. Being fair he said he would do it but I mentioned the time frame again and he just went and got the unit and told me I should just take it and do it myself. I'm fairly certain that checking in on a repair 3 times in 2 months isn't unreasonable. Also I don't think it's unreasonable to expect a repair that was originally paid for in June to be completed by the end of November. AV Electronics preferred that I bring my TV to the shop, but it is a heavy 37" flat screen, so I wanted them to come to my home. They made an appointment for Sept. 7, 2016 at 11:00 AM for a house call to repair my TV. When AV Electronics did not arrive by 2:30 PM, I called to ask when they would arrive. The person in the shop was reluctant to deal with me, wanting me to either leave a message for Randy or call him directly.
