"Mom swept into town for my birthday lunch, and what better place to celebrate than Original Joe's? It had been way too long since I last graced their doors, and let me tell you, I was greeted with a smile as wide as my birthday grin.We were seated promptly, and our thirst for Diet Cokes was quenched in no time. When it came to ordering, I made a bold decision and chose the mighty beef dip, while Mom went for the pineapple burger sans bun (which was a mystery to me, but she loved it).Now, let's talk about the food. My beef dip was nothing short of spectacular – a generous serving of tender beef nestled in a perfectly toasted bun, and that au jus, oh my! It was like a beefy adventure in my mouth. Mom's burger was a hit too, and the onion rings, well, they went head to head with the best (yes, even A&W).The company was as delightful as ever, but it was the food that stole the show this time. We came here for a late lunch/early dinner. We were told we could seat ourselves so we did. It wasn’t overly busy. The menu is a bit small but has great options and a good variety of happy hour items. The serving staff was really kind and attentive, we enjoyed our chat! There for the refills and we weren’t kept waiting at all. Great recommendations. I had the crispy chicken (normal) and the truffle parm fries, and coleslaw.

I honestly loved the truffle fries. They’re my recommendation 100%. I actually enjoyed my entire meal. I especially liked the pickles on the burger! A nice crunch, a nice touch.

Restaurant was clean, had a moody ambiance.

Love that this place is open later than most restaurants so us night owls can still enjoy a full meal that isn't a greasy fast food joint. Started with the calamari which was nice and crisp, seemed a bit bland but the lemon and salt helped the cause. I got the baja fish tacos which were delicious, love the tanginess of the coleslaw in there, fries were superb as always. My boyfriend got the chipotle chicken quasedilla, flavours were good but unfortunately it was severely lacking on the cheese. Taking away a star based on the great cheese famine of 2024.
