We got the special beef noodle soup, spring rolls and Banh Mi. We were served right away and the food came quickly. As soon as the noodle soup arrived we could tell it was infused with all the right spices (cardamom, cinnamon, star anise etc.,) and the broth was pretty on point. The noodles were also cooked perfectly. The soup came with a small plate of bean sprouts, jalapeño chili, and a slice of lemon. They didn’t have extra cilantro, mint, or Thai basil, but it was delicious all the same.

The spring rolls came with a bowl of sauce. The spring rolls were crispy and the sauce was perfect. The beef Banh Mi was likely our favourite. The baguette was crunchy on the outside, soft on the inside. The Banh Mi sauce flavour mixed with the fresh pickled vegetables and beef was reminiscent of our travels in Toronto. We will certainly come...

Nice restaurant with good food, but the chef needs to time the food better. Ordered appetizers and two mains. My dish arrived after 20 minutes, the other 20 mins later followed by the appetizer. I mentioned to the waitress that is was taking long for the second dish where she told me that she had taken my order from the table sitting next to us? I was and am confused as to why she would do that to begin with, then proceed to tell me…as if I’d be happy with her. Smh if she would’ve given it to the right person, at least me and my guest could’ve eaten at the same time. I won’t be back and I don’t recommend…unless the chef and waitress...

The staff seem nice and tried their best but the food was not very good. Shrimp in my chowmein (mì xào) was not deveined and the sauce was very bland. We also ordered the beef stew which was OK but we expected Vietnamese bread (bánh mì), not noodles. They didn’t give us the option, sadly. Lastly, when I went to pay at the front, the staff was just on their phone ignoring me for a solid minute.

As someone who’s worked in family-owned Viet restaurants, I love supporting these place so I hope their cooking improves. Not the best, not the worst. Just a poor experience for us but maybe others will have...
