Food used to be not too bad and reasonable, but now everything is expensive, and corners are being cut in some dishes to save money. Almond gai ding poor, big chunks of celery & carrot and very little chicken or almond, sauce flavorless and watery. I worked in a chinese restaurant for 5 1/2 years and know when quality dishes are being put out. IT seems to be indusrty wide. I think a combo of not having skilled chefs and also compromise on quality to save money...very disappointing only one or two decent Chinese food places left in Prince George. If I want quality Chinese food the its a trip to Vancouver where competition has kept most restaurants at the top of their game. I made a couple of attempts at coming back to see if things had changed as they were close and handy to where I work. The food experience was marginally better, so I bumped up to 3 stars for the food. I'm alway eager to hear what others have to say about their restaurant experiences as once I have had a few bad experiences at a restaurant I often do not return for a long time if ever, unless someone gives me a report that the restaurant has improved or new owners and managent have taken over then I will give it another try, sometimes to my delight or sometimes to my continued disappointment. I have picked an order up and then gone for buffet, the food experience was better than before so adjusted the rating accordingly. It's about 27.00 or 28.00 plus tax for an adult buffet pricy unless you can eat like a horse but then again that seems to be the going rate for buffet wherever you go in Prince George. I can not eat crazy portions anymore, I leave that for the younger growing teens and men that will get their value out of a buffets. For me ordering a combo to take home and then getting two meals out of it is better value for me and then can order more often and don't have any dishes to...
Read moreDefinitely not ordering from here again, nor will I choose to eat here. A month ago, I decided to treat my family to take out. The food was an hour and a half late. They had called my phone and I had to call back, they needed my address, despite me giving it to them during my order. Despite this, I tipped well, thinking that the lady who took my call got my address wrong and that it would be blamed on the delivery driver, as he seemed stressed. I 100% regret tipping well, since he then had to turn around and get my 2 liter, that he forgot to bring with him. The food was luke warm, we had to heat it up.
Since I believe in second chances, I ordered from here again tonight. Gave them my address during the order and this time, kept my phone on me. Low and behold, they asked me for my address again an HOUR after I had ordered my food. Keep in mind, they told me it would be 46 minutes. I took the food out from my bag and one of the containers had leaked onto the other boxes and got oil everywhere.
Absolutely done with this. If you can't handle something as simple as delivery, then don't...
Read moreWe haven't been here in a while, but it was hopping! We're in town for hockey, and majority ruled that we get takeout 🥡 after a long drive instead of checking out the buffet. The Family Dinner for 4b fed 4 adults and one hungry little hockey player with some leftovers for later. Everything had plenty of flavour and the quality of all the dishes was on point. Even though we ordered at the height of dinner rush on a Friday, we got our food in about 20 minutes, served by friendly and accommodating staff. I also got a couple spring rolls - nearly got the 5a for the spring rolls, but the 4b has a better variety of dishes, and I was the only one that wanted the rolls. Overall, a fantastic dinner for the price point (65.20 for the 4b after discount, plus 4.10 for the rolls). I would recommend asking for extra plum sauce or a side of sweet n sour for the Prawns. Thank...
