OM Pizza Bar Cafe — Restaurant in Prince George

Food was decent. I had a pizza, hard to mess up a pizza but it was still a good pizza, so I can't really complain there. The problem though was the service.

We enter the place, sit down. Waitress takes drink orders, so far so good. She brings them out, spills a bit of one of the drinks on the table. Again, not a problem. Says she'll come back in a sec to wipe it. Never does, I do it myself. Not an issue, but why say you'll do it if you won't - thought that was kinda weird. Still okay so far.

Then we don't see her for probably 20+ minutes. She comes back finally, takes our orders. Takes another 40+ minutes to get the food - we have not seen the waitress at all during this time.

By the time the last person gets served, we realized we ordered an appetizer. They simply forget to make it. We tell them fine, cancel that.

It's another 15 minutes before we see her again. This is the first time I get asked about a drink refill - 75 minutes in.

This is the kind of restaurant you order on skip the dishes. Food's good, but you're not missing anything by eating it at home.

Om has just opened this month across from CN Centre. When you arrive you greeted by friendly staff and guided to your table of choice. Our first impression was the ambiance. My Wife was taken aback by the decorations and artful decor. She said it was beautiful. She wants to bring her girlfriends here for drinks and appies. We shared the Samosas Appy. It they were done very well with an incredible accompanying chutney and chickpea. Not your everyday samosas. I had the Mumbai Shrimp Penne with a Indian sauce. Very good! And plenty of tasty shrimp! My Wife had a Margarita Pizza which she loved. This isn’t surprising as the owners of Daddy Os are running this joint. Very nice atmosphere, great music in the background, and most importantly great food. They had some very interesting vegan dishes for those inclined. Really great sounding dishes. There are also big screen TVs to watch your favourite sports or shows. You can also play Keno and Video Poker if you like. Anyways a great new place to go for the ambience, great food and some fun. Also Dominos is right next door so next time you pick up pizza for the kids, treat yourself to an adult...

We have been going to Om since they opened and they never disappoint! Om was one of the first places we went to after my son was born and we ventured out into the world again. I'll never forget while we were eating our delicious appetizers his Sister Meghan, who we've know for years at the Bonnet Eatery, asked to hold him so we could scarf down our food. She showed him around the restaurant and kept him entertained so we cold have 5 minutes to ourselves. Every time we come they bring us special kid plates and utensils and make him something special that he scarfs down.

We have come for breakfast many times, I would recommend the Masala omelet, the subtle spice goes great with the omelet. I usually add Sriracha to my eggs so this really hits the spot for me. My wife loves the fruit bowl, they always have the best fruit and the quantity is very generous. Did I mention they hosted a traditional Robbie Burns Supper?

Amit deserves a lot of credit for creating a welcoming atmosphere, he always come around and chats and we trade stories about our kids.
