Ben & Florentine — Restaurant in Quebec

All was ok at first. The food was okay and the waitress brought us our food. I don't remember her name (Ashley maybe??) But she had blond hair and white Nikey shoes with a pink check mark on them. When we finished paying she told us that we did not give enough tips and was kind of rude about it. She insisted that we cannot leave until we gave her more tips and sais we owed her $20 more (like what?!). We were really not impressed about this. Worst service ever. We had to pay a seperate bill for her "bonus tip" and then she just left afterwards. Very unpolite. You don't beg for extra tips?? We then wanted to speak with the manger but they were not there. We spoke with the front attendant and she said to leave a review on google about this and said sorry for the service... nothing more without even asking us what had happened. Very insulting. Not going back. To those reading this, be ready to be obliged to...

Went to the Val Bélair location today. Food was great, as usual. Reason I didn’t give it a 5 star rating:

Enjoying my breakfast and waitress who obviously just finished her shift, goes into a section of the restaurant...in front of me but 4 feet away, opens a bag and lets her boots fall out...4 feet in front of me! She pulls off her shoes and is stocking foot in the restaurant....in the dining area...stocking feet and talking loudly about her shift. Wait staff...all staff should not be dressing in the dining area with people enjoying food. Barfeet and customers don’t mix. Poo on you today Ben...

We had an absolutely delicious brunch at Ben & Florentine. I had the Gourmandise which had a waffle with eggs, potatoes, sausage and bacon. Everything in my plate was delicious! My wife had the bacon and avacado skillet. It also included seasoned potatoes and peppers. The meals came with tea and toast! Everything was seasoned perfectly and prepared so wonderfully! The service was also great!! Definitely check out this place if...
