To begin with, they have 2 entrance. We entered the restaurant for a while, not only no one welcomed us, several server even saw us a few times without telling us to wait at the other door. They do have a French only sign but with an arrow pointing to a wrong direction which is completely unclear.
While waiting at the designated area, server needs to deliver food to customer and none of them had ever said a word like excuse me or anything similar to all of the people waiting there. If that is a route from kitchen, why arrange people standing there?
One of the plate, flank steak with pasta is not fresh and tasted bad already. They replaced the beef but not the whole dish. I can’t believe this is the standard of such a restaurant. When something not fresh served with pasta, meat sauce and unfresh meat juice mixed with pasta, you only change the beef but leave the pasta? That’s the standard of a $40 200gram -ish restaurant standard? The server said it’s because we consumed some pasta. Despite being unfresh, still you should replace it with a smaller portion of the dish.
We were over charged for the extra. Server said each plate of flank is served with pasta and if we need extra pasta that’s $3.95, which is fine. At the end we were charged $5.95, $3.95 and $7.90, in total $17.8 instead of $7.9. I asked for explanation, they are not able to point out the price, on either the paper menu or the internet menu. Server show me her tablet and said, see, when you add the pasta the $5.95 pops up automatically. However this amount was not found on menu at all. Nor does $7.9. They said they offer 10% off the bill which is around $15. But $17.8 in extra minus so called offer $15, compare with $7.9 we ought to pay, so around $5 off?? Is that a joke?
They are aggressive and asked for a 15% tip. They said Quebec law stated minimum tip for wages of servers. But no, 0 tip for such a terrible service. They asked our nationality. This is not about where we are from. TIP are for GOOD or at least acceptable services. I have been in NY and NJ so long and used to pay 18-22%. First time experienced such a restaurant being so terrible that I think it deserves 0. Unpleasant waiting, unfresh beef, failing to do proper replacement, wrong billing, ruined the birthday. The main issue was the server attitude and food quality. The filet was clearly not fresh. It had a noticeable off-putting smell and an unpleasant texture. When paying a premium price for such a meal, the expectation is high quality and fresh ingredients, which was not met here. What more, the server just go away and never check with us again, pretend to be nothing happened.
However, the most egregious part of the experience was the server's behavior. After I paid the bill, the server confronted me about the tip. Well you didnt want to fix my spoiled dish why would I tip? And she said she work for me for free. Come on, you are protected by minimum wage in Quebec. If you feel not enough, go ask your boss. It’s not customers obligation to pay extra tip, not to mention when you want to save cost on food. Such interaction was aggressive and entirely inappropriate. Customers are harassed or pressured about gratuity, and this kind of hostile demand completely ruined the evening.
The concerning lack of freshness is enough terrible, as a customer with friends we certainly don’t want to raise voice to complain or confront staffs. But the restaurant took advantage in the situation not to fix the meal which is kind of shocking. The aggressive behavior from the staff is even insulting.

We were forced to seat outside on the terrace with our two children as they refused to seat us inside and it was very cold . Once we sat down, the waitress brought only 2 glasses of water and we were 4 people. We placed our order as soon as the waitress came by. Very simply order just 3 pizzas. It took 1 hour to get the food. I ordered the veggie pizza and the dough was completely raw to the point that it looked like glue and was extremely chewy. GROSS I couldn’t eat it. When I told the waitress after waiting another 35 minutes for her to come by she said she would show her manager the pizza. I was offered a little discount instead of remaking the pizza.
