Came here after hearing amazing reviews and was incredibly disappointed. To start, the chef was not here so there was not an omakase menu. Then we ordered the salmon sashimi and the salmon fish quality was so horrible, the fish was hard, tasted off, and it had its skin. The sauces on the plate were good but NOT truffle as advertised. Then the edamame came from a frozen bag and the chef cooked it in the same wok as the meat, shrimp, and chicken. Horrible because my partner is pescatarian and this could be dangerous with allergies. The waitress was nice but overall the service was incredibly slow, the drinks were mid (did not have sake which was sad). Going into the restaurant itself, the concept is interesting but badly organized. One host to bring people to the table is inefficient. Next for a omakase restaurant that’s meant to be high quality and with expensive prices ($25 avg per dish) it should not be in a food court mall setting. The sushi rolls themselves (5-6 pieces) were good because of the sauces, pretty, but flavorless. When a fish is high quality, the fish speaks for itself and in this case the quality was low.

Updating down this review 2 months later, as I went again, this time on a Thursday, for a birthday. Lackluster and amateurish service, the Thursday promotion halves the prices but more than halves the sizes, making this a worse deal than any other day. The bday mention was given at the very beginning by the staff, without any extra attention nor extra. No dessert on the menu. A pretty sour taste overall, with a very premium price for a poor overall experience. Quite deceived and will not go again. - Good food, taste and presentation alike, however it is quite pricey for the overall worth. The main court's ambiance sort of overlaps with the restaurant such that there's mostly chatter, and some residual music from the court, but no real ambiance proper to the restaurant. That being said, being seated at the bar, seeing the employees prepare the plates and being able to interact with them all make for a good experience overall.

I came here on saturday for my husbands birthday dinner. We had reservations for 6pm, and arrived at 5:50pm. We both ordered the omakase (90$) at 6:00pm. We waited with no start in sight until 6:43 when the waiter told us he was so sorry for the wait; and it was due to a mix up in their online order system, but our meal would be served in “3minutes” and then the rest of the meals would arrive quickly after that. We waited another 10 minutes with nothing, but now it’s been over an hour since we arrived at the restaurant, and absolutely nothing. We noticed the couple that arrived after us that behind us had already been served. We had reservations for a birthday activity at 7:30 and we now told the restaurant if you don’t think you can deliver the meal to us with enough time for us to eat it before then, we will be leaving. They said they cannot serve the meal in that time, despite earlier saying it would be served in “3 mins”. So we left. Although an online order mishap is understandable, leaving your customers that are dining in stranded, with nothing is mot excusable for a restaurant with this price tag. This was ridiculous, we would have spent over 250$ here, and weren’t served anything in the end. Especially with an omakase, you should be balancing your dining patients with online. Serve us the amuse buche first so that we can get started while you’re dealing with the online order mishap. But this level of inadequacy is inexcusable and laughable to be honest. There are so many better restaurants out there in this price range that will serve you better with amazing food, i don’t know why anyone...
