Restaurant Le Fin Gourmet — Restaurant in Quebec

I will start with the positive side of the experience, the service is cordial, friendly and fast. Unfortunately service is one element to the complex journey of a restaurant. I ate two dishes, one was a ceviche of squid, and a gnocchi Arrabiata. The ceviche was a complete failure at all levels, the squid was rubbery and the portion was very small. The gnocchi was as disastrous as the ceviche, the flavours were over exaggerated and grotesque….the positive things was that the dish was hot.

I didn’t waste any time on getting a desert I think I save myself from another disappointment.

The decor was basic y a clear lack of imagination, but some how the ambiance was good, that’s why I’m giving it 2 stars.

I’m never going back, but there have plenty room for improvement.

This may have been one of the best, most fun meals we ever had — and I’ve had a lot of them. I ordered the tasting menu and they brought five plates, each incredibly delicious and I thought that was great but I’m still a little hungry — then, to my surprise, they brought five more even better plates! Enzo, the owner is a really fun, outgoing person, and he made the meal an entertaining event. We really felt a part of this cool neighborhood, one that reminded me of parts of Brooklyn or Jersey City. I cannot recommend a restaurant any higher — and it was very inexpensive given the quality and quantity...

Le Fin Gourmet was absolutely wonderful. Every dish we had was fantastic. Tapas: sardines, moules en escabeches; Entrees: chanterelles sauvage, fleurs de courgette; Plat: tuna tataki w/ roasted vegetables & vichyssoise; Dessert: Genoise (sponge cake) w/ chantilly, blueberries, and strawberry coulis. Great cocktails (aperol spritz was so refreshing) and wine. The service was sweet and charming. The two women owners and chefs are lovely. The outside tables are a perfect setting and inside looked very cozy and cute. This restaurant is a gem!! This is very much fine (fin) dining at incredibly...
