Tiger Chicken & Ribs — Restaurant in Quinte West

I walk in and immediately regret it but I sit down. I look around and the decorations are festive. The Halloween decor is nice. The lights on the wall look like they're going to fall off and the painting job is horrible. I couldn't understand my waiter because of her thick accent. The Ginger ale I ordered tasted stake like it was sitting or for a day then was recarbonated. I noticed at this point the table was wiped and left dirty. The booth I sat at, well it was small and the table at it wasn't secure. Yes, the table moved. I can barely hear the music, which I'm not too pleased about. The food came out relatively quickly. I ordered the half rack of ribs and chicken wings. The wings were not very warm and tasted overcooked. They were very saucy and sticky. The ribs were warm, but they were very tender. The ribs I enjoyed, great flavour. The fruits were alright. Crispy and flavoured but not warm. The dinner roll was a brick. I couldn't eat it. There was a little cup of coleslaw. I've had better coleslaw. Mid meal the lights were flickering. The waiter asked how the food was early in the meal then she disappeared. The chef I think came out and asked how the food was. When I finished, the chef came from the kitchen to get the bill. He then continued to work the counter with another woman who walked in. As I was leaving her started redoing the grout on the floor tiles.

All in all, I probably won't return. The food was alright but I am not excited...

Ordered from them through skip the dishes this evening two wraps. The first I requested with no tomato, the second I requested with no tomato and no mayo. Upon receiving my order the one wrap came with no tomato. However, the other wrap came with both tomato and mayo as well as having no cheese even though in the description on the menu it lists cheese. Further, the wrap with the tomato and mayo came with some lettuce that looks as though it should’ve been thrown out and not used for food. As well a couple of the pieces of chicken were rather pink. Also found one black hair in the bottom of each of the fries. Upon calling the restaurant to inform them of the incorrect order, the woman who answered the phone was lovely and passed me along to the manager right away. However the manager decided to tell me I needed to call skip the dishes to deal with this issue. However, as obvious I explained that that’s ridiculous as skip the dishes and the delivery driver did not make the food nor package it. They only picked up the made food, delivered and followed the delivery instructions. So I would say that’s a poor deflection of the responsibility for the issue. Because it’s them who had the instructions, made it and packaged it therefore it’s the restaurant’s fault for making it incorrectly and allowing hair to be in the fries. Further, I know they received the instructions because the one wrap came with no tomato as requested. Terrible food. And...

Stopped in here last night just before 8:30 after finding out the restaurant we set out to go to closed at 8:00. Had been wanting to try this place so we headed here and they were still open and were not at all busy.

We were greeted as we came in by a super friendly waitress, immediately seated and our drink order taken.

My partner ordered the special - 1/2 rack baby back ribs with fries, cole slaw, side of gravy and a dinner roll and I opted for the pork souvlaki which came with a HUGE Greek salad and a dinner roll.

His ribs & fries were superb, very comparable to other places known for their ribs! My souvlaki was moist & delicious and, as I had requested, was not overly charred and came with extra (yummy) tzatziki sauce. My salad was well chilled and the dressing came on the side.

The only reason I am not giving 5 stars for this visit is that we had to wait about half an hour for our food. As there were only 2, or maybe 3, other tables already occupied when we arrived this might be due to the fact that the restaurant closes at 9 and maybe they had already started their end of day kitchen clean up and/or sent staff home.

We would not hesitate to come back and I look forward to trying their butter...
