Went there a few times now it was pretty good, except our server was not very friendly and didn't smile. She also tried taking herself a large tip out of the money on the table without permission. My friend had left his money on the table and when she came around to bring him another drink he said take it out of there and trusted her to take the amount for the drink... not all the money, and it wasn't just a couple of dollars. There was over 15 dollars on the table after the money for the drink was taken. I know when I Bartend, and when someone tells me to take the money out of the pile on the table, I only take the amount that the drink costs, not the whole pile. If they want to tip you on top of that, they will. I called her on it and she brought the 15+ dollars back saying she had assumed it was all hers even though we had already tipped her for every drink we had and she was not giving us good service to begin with. The bar wasn't that busy that night, and we had to wait 10 to 15 min between drinks because she was too busy chatting to the other girls working and playing on her...
Read moreWe ended our Noah's Christmas Staff Party here after dinner at Moxies. We were planning for karaoke, but they had a country singer singing solo. It turns out he was really good. Pete Rodwell, the owner from Noah's, knows how to play drums, so he played a few rounds backing him up. Our Noah's staff and spouses had a great time, and it looked like other patrons from Cheers were enjoying themselves. The country singer playing was Wayne Montgomery from Vancouver Island. He is a good entertainer and if you like country music I would recommend going to see him when he comes back to Red Deer. FYI, he plays and entertains even better when you fill the dance floor. Lol. Also, our waitress was great! (I wish I could remember her name) she took good care of everyone all night. I was very impressed with her when I asked her for a coffee upon arrival as I would be driving some of the staff home later. The rest of the night, she kept checking on me to make sure I had water and if there was anything I needed. Well done, Cheers! You helped make our staff party a...
Read moreIf you play the vlts here & happen to win, be sure to count your money!! The (Evening) Waitresses at Cheers will steal whatever they can get away with. On 3 separate occasions they have “forgotten how to count”, tried to short me at least 20$, & A few months ago I was robbed for $200 by a waitress at Cheers. She could tell I was tipsy and took advantage of that. I was there for a couple hrs, & had cashed out a .20 ticket, & later a $200 ticket. When I gave her my $200 ticket, she gave me .20, said that’s all I gave her. Like I said I was tipsy & alone so wasn’t in any position to argue with her & she knew that. The bratz looking waitress has tried the same thing Every time since. Been asking around & more then a few people have had the same experience (waitresses trying to short them at LEAST $20 on their vlt cash outs) if you don’t believe me, go & see for yourself. These two ladies work so hard, to steal from their customers. I will be posting this on every forum I can, and will be letting anyone who will listen how awful this...
