Hung Kitchen — Restaurant in Regina

Even more delicious than expected! I invited both my sisters' families and my friend's family to have lunch together here, and they were all amazed by the variety of food, flavorful dishes, and the exceptionally friendly service at Hung Happy Kitchen.

We ordered a variety of different foods, and they were all so tasty: fried chicken, vermicelli bowls, sandwiches, ramen, fried potato, bubble tea... Our kids love their Western, and we adore the Asian dishes that we got. The portions were generous.

The food court's ambiance was delightful and warm with natural light streaming through the transparent roof, making it a super comfortable and enjoyable place to dine, especially in this winter season. We had a brief but lovely chat with the owners, they are so nice!

Definitely will return to try more...

It was an alright experience, the owners being very kind while I ordered and offering substitutions in place of certain items I didn't want in my ramen, but I'm sorry to say that the ramen itself was atrocious - it tasted nothing like the kind I ordered (tonkotsu), and seemed to use curly noodles instead of the standard straight cut while also using dried chashu instead of fresh, melt in the mouth. It also was a very creamy style broth, which was really a surprise because tonkotsu just isn't supposed to have that colour or flavour, and it seemed more reminiscent of a cream of blank (maybe broccoli?) soup. I've heard the other dishes are good, so maybe I'll go back to try some of those, but in the meantime I'll go elsewhere for...

Tried several dishes and they are pretty tasty: Bun Rieu (Crab Noodle) soup Flavour is good, a little more on the seafood-y side because it’s crab-based broth, but if you are a fan of seafood-y things, give it a try! Definitely a more unique flavour and not too many places serve this dish in Regina.

Bun Bo Xao (Stir fried beef vermicelli bowl) My fave dish so far. The stir fried beef is so flavourful! I’d definitely get this again.

Pad Thai with chicken I wouldn’t say this tastes like pad thai at all, but it’s pretty tasty!
